First X1900GT Benchmarks?

Not bad performance at all, and it looks like they managed to overclock it to real close to XT speeds. Even stock it's not that much slower than an XT, and a lot faster than an AIW x1900.

Single slot design, quiet fan, and some headroom to OC, let's hope it comes in at the $250 price point. And let's hope they make a GT Crossfire Edition master card as well, also at a low price point. That'll put a dent in 7600GT and 7900GT sales, or at least provide some really good competition at that price range.

Oh, and unless I'm mistaken, that's a Hong Kong, not Japanese site.
 
The article is in Chinese, not Japanese. I know Japanese but was dissapointed to see a tech article I couldn't read. :mad: :D

You don't really need to be able to read Chinese though to get the gist of the benchmark results.

yea it seems about the same performance as a 7900GT + some good ocing overhead for a great price if its $250
 
I posted this in the other x1900gt thread, but I believe I saw it at Best Buy for $400 which if the msrp is $300 - is a serious gouging....

B&M stores are notorious for gouging because the less informed are the ones that tend to buy there.

or do one like the powercolor 1800gto, no dongle or anything, just put 2 in a crossfire mobo and go! :D
 
Just checked the stats out on that VC and it makes me wonder what im doing wrong or what is not set correctly in my system. :eek: Geeze my XTX scores in 3Dmark06 are not much more than that X1900GT :confused: :( :mad:

But yeah that is nice the way it performed

It would be even better if ATI/Nvidia and Intel, for the betterment of future platfom development just droped the whole vendor specific BS, there is nothing physically or electrically preventing SLI/Crossfire/MultiChrome from all working interchangably.. ie able to run 2 GF6/GF7 on an ATI Express or running two X800/1x00 in tandem on an nVidia SLI motherboard. It just comes down to each camp trying to get a chokehold on a specific platform. ATI would be tickled pink if they could dominate MVP chipset sales just as nV would love to be able to do the same, however with each camp firmly planted, refusing to make the appearance of "giving in" it just slows down the entire platform as a whole. Nothing but GREED and desire to have ultimate control.

Not really.. ATi and Intel are pretty open about Crossfire working on both there platforms. Tis nVIDIA who are greedy and not allowing things to occur.

my first guess is because your using a intel based system. in the review they used a amd based test system. so if they used a intel testbed then your scores will be higher.

I did see that and I checked that thread out, and it seems as though AMD based systems with the same VC as mine or equal to mine do much much better. Im starting to think maybe I should went AMD :)
But that is very nice how the X1900GT performed and that it is a single slot card, very appealing to all that have a smaller buget or just don't want to spend a lot. Then again maybe I should waited, well such is life :)
