not a great picture, but i think u get it....and i want them STRAIGHT!!! so, i have plexiglass, it's CYRO 1/4" thick or some generic 1/8" stuff, i have a jigsaw(my prefered way to cut) so i got a Q

1) i dont like ppl seeing the insdie of my computer so i was thinking of sanding the plexi with 220 grit and making it "frosted" any one do this and have a cool example???
2) how would i hold up window? 4 screws???
3)how can i cut and make the edges look nice? i mean the aluminum on the Lian Li will cut like butter, but will it leave the edges ugly????

please be nice, i dont wanna buy a dremel, and this will be my first window... :)

get a digi cam
take a picture

oh yeah, and buy a dremel.

ps. fix your spelling, grammar, and all that stuff.

ill take a picture when i can, kinda hard with a broken ankle, but ill try! dremel is outta the picture, i dont wanna spend money on that, i got a jigsaw and my Bday is in late april, im gonna ask for one then!

i gotta work on my spelling... :)

Generally, using a grinding stone on the cut edges via a dremel or air powered die grinder is the preferred method of getting a clean edge. However, you *could* do it by hand with a file. For a "brushed" look, you could try using a wire wheel on the plexi-glass, it might look neat. Try it out on a scrap piece first and see what kinda results you get.

file sounds good :) im a 14 yr old, so i dont have much acess to expensive tools!!! whats a wire wheel??? i think ill try sanding it like u said and see how it looks :)

sanded with 60 grit, then 220 and i really like it!!!!so now just the edges (will they really be to rough if i cut perfectly straight???) and attaching...thanks! LMK!!!

Well a wire wheel is just as it sounds, a wire wheel. Its basically a round thing with a bunch of stiff wires sticking out of it. Its gennerally useed to strip stuff off of other stuff but it can also give you a nice finish if done correctly. There are also other wheels that have abrasive plastic "wires" instead of metal wires. These tend to be a bit gentler than the wire versions. Here is a link to a quick Home Depot search for wire wheels. Hope that helps.

i think i have a wire wheel, kinda like a dremel disk but it has a buncha metal pins/wires andgoes in a drill??? i really like how it looks as is tho...(the 60 then 220 grit

yeah, that's what a wire wheel is. That's cool if you like the look sanded, I just thought the wire wheel might offer you something different, a brushed look rather than a fogged one.

yeah, for sure...i like them both, but the fogged looks neater, and u can see less thru it( i dont wanna see my computer)
