This is my first water cooling experience and its fun so far. I just built this computer excluding using my old ati graphics card.
computer specs: q6600, 4gb DDR2 Ram, asus pk5 deluxe mb, ati 1800xt, 3 500gb Hd in raid config
water cooling setup:
d-tek fuzion cpu block
swiftech MCR320 rad
swiftech mp655 pump
swiftech micro res
1/2" tubing
wanting: mcw60 graphics block but everyone is out of them. Any other suggestions instead of the mcw60 or should I wait till swiftech has more in stock?
Anyways, my loops is going to be res => pump => rad => cpu => graphics => back to res. My problem is I do not have enough room in my case so I have to mount everything externally.
Would I be able to do this:
The tubing from the graphics card would go out of the case then drop down to the res which is about a 14" drop. Then straight over to the pump and out to the radiator sitting next to the pump. The rad then would run straight to the cpu which is approx 25" up. Give or take three inches just in case. Will this be ok to do? Or will that be to much drop and rise?
I attached a few pics to give you a idea of the set up... the pump and res are behind the rad.
I am also open to other ideas to accomplish my goal.
