Hey all - I'm finally going to WC my rig after thinking about actually doing it for years Here are the important specs of the build:

Case: Lian-Li V1200B
GPU: Core i7 920
GPU: EVGA 260GTX (may very well be upgraded to a 560 Ti)

CPU WB: XSPC Rasa Link

GPU WB: XSPC Rasa GPU Link

Resevoir: XSPC dual 5.25" Rs with DDC mount Link

Pump: Swiftech MCP355 Link

Rad: XSPC Rx120 Link

Tubing: Tygon 3/8" ID 5/8" OD clear tubing Link

Fittings: I am planning on using Bitspower matte black fittings when I decide what fittings i will need.

Fans: Yate Loon low speed fans, these are be the best and quietest last I heard, but am open to changes. Must be quiet!

I think those are the main components, I don't think I missed anything. I am planning on ordering everything from Sidewinder other than the pump, that will come from Newegg. (Using the commissioned links of course!)

I am planning on placing the radiator in front of my V1200 where there is already a 120mm fan. I could move the HDD cages because I hope to be building a server to get rid of my 2 storage drives and placing my SDD under my optical drive leaving my with plenty of room in the bottom where I could possibly mount a dual 120mm sucking air from under the case since it will most likely be sitting on my desk. I will try to get a MSPaint rendering up in a few minutes.

here are the renderings:

One rad with one pump:

Two rads with two pumps:

Um Liquid cooling doesnt change the amount of heat that is put out into a room it just gets rid of it faster cuz there is more room and if i were you i wouldnt do that rad honestly its way to small. For a cpu and a gpu usually they recommend a 360..... and you might want to look into something like a mcp 350 or 355...

I just had a second thought, I could purchase this dual res/pump setup and run seperate loops for the CPU and GPU, and run 2 120 rads. I think this could help with the cooling and packaging. I'll add this to my paint masterpiece :p

Doh I knew that, what I should have said was where it dumped the heat that irritated me. I'm looking at 2 120mm rads now, and the 255 was a typo, should have been 355. I'll edit the OP...

i still dont think you would see the temps you would want with just single 120 rads imo but its up to you. I would say look into a Xspc rasa rs or rx360 setup... That would give you a lot more cooling and more surface area for lower speed fans so that way its quiter. With just that one 120 you would have to run the fans really high to get good temps.. Once you overload a rad it goes way up from there... I guess sinse that was a like a rx120 or twicce as thick it could work.. Tsumi or someone like that could help you better i just set my liquid cooling up last night so im really new to this stuff too.... lol But its a lot of fun and worth it you will enjoy it but you might get mad ccuz you always want to upgrade lol going back through each link..

CPU block- Great block
Pump- Great pump
Res- looks good even the duel one
rad- should work its like a 240 only two 120s stacked on each other lol.
Tubing- I use the same stuff its a little thin for my taste but it works and its easy to work with
Fans- Great fans cheap too which makes them better lol
Overall looks good i think i would lookk into more rad but it would work

Good luck and hey dont forget a biocide like a silver kill coil or pt nuke.

Gentle typhoons if you want best noise/performance ratio. Yate loons are hit/miss when it comes to quietness.

The more radiator area you have, the quieter your setup will be. Get a large enough radiator and you can go with passive cooling. Since you want quiet, definitely have larger radiators, at least 3x120 worth of radiator area.

Single loop, don't bother with dual loops. More difficult and more cost for marginal, if any, gains.

I'm not sure where exactly I would fit a 360 rad in my setup though, anyone ahve suggestions?

I like your firsts sig thing made me laugh but im not sure maybe you could mod it? Or buy a 800D and put a 360 and a 240 in it lol jk

Thanks, the only thing I'm not sure about is the biocide TBH, what are some specifics on the silver kill coil? I've seen it mentioned but couldn't find any information.

Thank you! I think i will be putting a 240 on the floor with a 120 on the back. Thanks!
