First Watercooling Build: Hardware Check

I'm considering taking the plunge into Watercooling a new build, and I think I've decided on the guts of the new rig. I'd like to run them by the fellows at [H] and see what the consensus is regarding price / performance, and if there are any methods by which I can do better.

The build this is for is a i7 1155 Xfire setup. I'm planning on 7/16th line.

Is there anything I overlooked? I know I haven't chosen specific blocks, but I'm certain whatever I choose will likely be something recommended from martinsliquidlab.
 
1155 crossfire? You only need one pump.

I would get a real fan controller instead of those on/off switch thingies.

What's your case?

I recommend the Apogee HD or the Raystorm for your CPU. There are none that are better. For your GPUs, I would recommend Aquacomputer or anything besides EK.

You need to make sure to get fittings.
 
I understand fittings. I'll likely be going with compression fittings. With respect to the dual pump, I was hoping for redundancy without having to upgrade later. I also like that it runs of the motherboard.

The case will be a Caselabs TH10.

Any suggestions on a fan controller? I haven't found one I'm really crazy about yet.

Also, I'm definately avoiding EK. Their plating process seems below par. Can anyone suggest a block for 7970's?
 
If you want redundancy, then by all means go ahead. I'm just saying it will most likely be a waste of money. One pump is enough, and you can always buy a spare later on. I have a MCP655 built in 2005 that is still going strong.

I like the Scythe fan controllers and Lamptron fan controllers. There's a lot to choose from here.
 
If I run my rads in a push pull, that'll be 6 fans per rad. Would I want to run each fan controlled, or would it make more sense to run them in series off the controller, and would this effect rpm readings?
 
I would run them in sets. The fan controller can read only one RPM reading at a time, wiring two or more RPM wires would screw with the fan controller. However, with all the same fans, they should all be fairly close to each other, with minor variations due to a number of different variables.
