First water cooling

Socket 775 and I'm probably only going to be cooling the CPU for now.
Also, would water cooling be feasible in a p182 (that's what i have)?

I tried to make a list, here goes nothing:

Danger Den TDX Block
Danger Den D5 Pump
Black Ice Stealth GTS 240
Tygon 12' Clear Tubing 1/2"
Swiftech MCRES-Micro Reservoir

Alright... For a socket 775 system then

Dtek Fuzion
DD D5 pump
Swiftech MCR220 radiator
Masterkleer tubing
Swiftech Microres
Yate-loon fans

All 1/2" (the tubing is 7/16" which is close to 1/2" and better than the tygon)

Get a swiftech radbox to mount the radiator externally, or cut the top and mount it there.

Much better performance!

Matters what you are trying to accomplish and if you want external or internal....

Here comes the sales job right on cue.

Anyhow OP, listen to Arcygenical. He's got a great parts list for your budget that will give you great performance to boot.

Someone make Arcygenical a mod already.

Would it be that much of a performance loss to get ClearFlex tubing? I found a local deal at Microcenter for $15 for 10' of it.
Also, which Yate Loon fans?

Tubing does not effect performance that much.

This is what better tubing will give you:

Tighter bend radius - less tubing required --> better performance
High chemical resistance --> fewer replacements
Resistance to kinking ---> no need for coolsleeves, safer operation

ClearFlex is one of the best brands for tubing

Any of the Yate-Loon 120mm fans will do. Read the specs of the fan you want, check noise and CFM and see what you need.

Sorry, just ONE more question :p .

How does the Swiftech Apogee GT(X) perform against the fuzion?

And what is NPT when referring to tubing?

ALSO, are those parts listed up there EVERYTHING i need to get it started?

Check here. Excellent forum for water cooling, lot's of hands-on practical experiences/advice. Use the search function, the Swiftech Apogee GT(X) has been discussed a lot. Just be careful if you put a bend in the block. One can easily use too much pressure and break a motherboard.

NPT refers to pipe fitting standards. Definition here.

BTW where are those pics you promised us of your Maximum PC Dream system. IIRC, you were going to post them in 2-3 days. That was two weeks ago... More back pedaling and excuses?

What the "F" does that have to do with this thread, why must you always thread crap on everyone.............Why can't you keep your "F" ing nose out if you haven'y got anything constructive to add to the thread.

Why is it okay for your best bud Ranker to make off topic comments all over this forum and you never say anything about it? Is it because he is in your high flow cult and therefore he can do no wrong?

To the OP here is another view on NPT threads

I see the silly Beatchie is still up to the same old trouble making tatics just to get a little attention.

First off, I hardly know the guy, second off, you're the one that always seems to want to continue the stupid crap on the forums and can't let nothing pass, plain and simple.

eh sorry to interrupt your pleasant conversation but here's a list i made:

D-Tek Fuzion
Laing DDC2 pump w/ Petra's top
10' Masterkleer 7/16" tubes
Swiftech Micro Res
Petra's GelStuff
Yate Loon D12SM-12
Swiftech MCR320 Radiator

Great contribution, as usual.

You will like your configuration, that is for sure. Next question is can you fit this in your case? IF not, are you good with a dremel?

Well, the rad is going to be externally mounted with custom brackets i've made. The case i have is a P180b but it's the P182 version with the WC holes already made and such.

Then you are good to go!

Make sure you have some distilled water and a funnel to fill the loop. Remember to fill the inlet side of the pump so it is primed and get to watercooling!

use some zip ties on the barbs to keep the tubing on as extra insurance. And pick up a bottle of pentosin from petras to keep all the little nasties from coming out.

which version of pentosin g11 or g12? and should i use other stuff too like petra's nuke or swiftech hydrx?

Use the G11. The G12 leaves a particulate silt in the loop.

You don't NEED PT nuke or swiftech hydrex...

I'd get a gallon of distilled water, and pour out 5oz of it... Then drop in a full 4oz bottle of G12. That'll solve any possible problems in the future.
