All of a sudden, my VM Gamer's Edge would not boot, after some poking around it seemed that the primary drive (SATA) was not being seen.
I called VM support this morning and recieved a call back within the hour. A tech named Alfred helped me poke some more around the BIOS (after checking cable connections, etc.) and we determined that somehow my machine had been configured for RAID which I did not have setup. Alfred and I were able to get BIOS re-configured so now everything is fine. So Mr. VM CEO, props to Alfred!
Question for you all, what would have caused the bios to be configured for RAID? I hadn't touched BIOS since I bought the machine. Is there a simple config sequence that my 4 year old could have randomly hit?? Is this a sign of some other failure mode I should look into?
thanks in advance.
