Hey all, I need a bit of a hand with understanding a few water cooling items that I am having a hard time with. Hopefully you guys can help me 
I bought an Aurora R4 from Alienware (Yes, I know I overpaid for the name – have always wanted one)
I recently upgraded the video card to an nvidia gtx 690 and know that under extreme gaming conditions the card gets quite hot, as does the cpu which is water cooled by Alienware, although not in a great way.

The question I have is whether the parts I am getting to water cool the graphics card would work well together or whether or not you could suggest something else. So far, everything seems great, but I am sure I have done something wrong. I would also love to run quad SLI but know without water cooling and a PSU upgrade it isn’t possible with the R4’s due to heat and an 875 watt power supply.

Here are the water cooling parts

Fluids
I have no idea.

The idea would be to run from reservoir > pump > GPU > (second 690 if done) > radiator > back to reservoir

The other question I had is whether or not changing the PSU in an R4 would be an issue or not. Not sure if anyone here has one or another alienware product but I would love to go a bit extreme then learn to Overclock. This is my first real powerhouse PC. Next one in a few years or more will be completely built and designed by me 

Thanks for all your help, sorry for the essay, thought I would provide as much information as possible.

Look, the biggest thing I need help with is piping to fittings and fittings to the parts. I am not sure if I have that right.

You're buying 1/2" ID hose, so ya need 1/2" fittings in G1/4 threading...be they barbs or compressions or what have you. Compressions need to be bought with your specific 3/4"OD in mind. Also depending on your GPU block you'll probably need pads/tape to mount it.

Awesome, thanks, just help me get it done properly.

The radiator will not fit into my case at all so it will be placed on the outside of the case through the back section.

I bought some compression connections and obviously the QDC, fingers crossed it's all right :)

Are you stuck on that reservoir? The only reason I ask is I just bought that XSPC kit and it works great. It has the D5 pump in the reservoir, might be able to save you some $$$. But, it you really like that reservoir I understand.

I thought the new d5 from xspc was great too, till the nylon started warping at the top of the unit and it started to leak within 4 months.

Keep an eye on it.

Nah, wasn't stuck on the reservoir. This one fits the case perfectly. so quite happy.

Thought I would update, I have put the first water cooling heatsink on my gtx 690 that arrived yesterday with the second one still running normally in my PC.

I have all piping and fittings connected and I am just waiting on a powerboard for my fans and parts and one more fitting to get the pipes connect to the SLI and also my new 1200 watt power supply :)

Going to configure the plumbing like this

because of a lack of space

I am so excited and impatient -_- worst time to order parts though, at least the company is fast to deliver.

With what I now know about PC's, I wish I built it myself instead of getting alienware, but I still love it.
