First Time Startup Problems

Specs:

MSI K8T NEO VIA
AMD 64 3000+
ATI RADEON 9800 PRO
1 GB KINGSTON RAM

So I put together this new rig and on the first time startup it doesn't post but goes to a Realtek Gigabit Boot manager. The settings look fine and then it posts after I exit. When it posts, it doesnt let me enter BIOS and the only thing it does is "Flash Recovery" and then it locks up (while performing the flash recovery). I've looked all through the literature and can't find any information on this, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what this is. Should I try clearing CMOS? Any ideas?

Yes try the clear CMOS first, and as a last resort download the latest BIOS and flash utility and flash the BIOS to the most recent revision.
