Hey guys, I got a core 2 duo E7500 actualy running at 2.93 2.94 Ghz.

My motherboard is pretty old, but I got a 550W AC and my CPU temp are always around 35-40C. I Wanna know how to overclock and if it's safe for me.

(Didin't found much about overclocking is this area, so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place)

Can you please provide your other hardware specs such as motherboard, ram, cooling and what settings you are using?

Overclocking is an "art form" and no one will be able to help until you provide more information

Ok!. I got a Core 2 Duo E7500. MB = POS-MIG31AG. 2x2Gb Ram 667 ghz. I got a stock CPU cooler (will change is asap) and running 32bit windows 7 professional. Thats all you need? Btw, I was reading other blogs and I found out that you have to change the CPU frequency. I changed mine from 266 to 280. And will wait an hour to up +10. That's the right way? My temps got from 36 to 39 Celsius after this change.

Well I found some guides on the internet. Now I'm running 3,69 GHz (334x11) with 668 Ram (1:2) my temps are about 43-45C. I'll run prime95 for some hours right now and see the results
