I am new at this gaming thing. I am an older man 56 and am NOT hip to what up. But I want my computer to be the best it can be safely and need help. I put this computer together.
For some reason it is not displayed that I have two GeForce 8800 GT cards linked in the SLI dual mode.
When I open the NVMonitor in the Bus speeds section the MCP PCI-E its box is red and the setting is 2500.000MHz.
In the Voltages section the memory box is yellow, the HT(SPP-MCP): is 1.2000v, and the nForce box is red with 1.5000v.
I have changed nothing since I put this computer together and don't understand what I'm viewing, why the settings are what they are. I am looking for some help setting this unit up . This is all the specs I could locate describing what inside the computer. I also have 4 single matched memory cards inside not the 2 listed. There is 1 HD, the main one, is 759 GBs and another 200 GBs HD. Each has a cooling fan, the memory chips have fans, The CPU has a Thermmaltake 8 copper tube with alum. cooling fins and its own fan. I installed 2 120mm case fans up front, 2 80mm fans in the back and added a 80mm on the side directly above the CUP cooling tower and the power supply is a Ultra / X-Finity / 600-Watt / ATX / Dual 80mm Fan / SATA-Ready / SLI Ready / Black / Power Supply. Big 22" flat LCD monitor, HUBU gaming mouse yadda yadda. The only reason I mentioned all this stuff is to ask if this is to some responses on how well it should handle some over clocking to increase the over all performance of the computer in all sectors. Either gaming, or doing my PhotoShop and Dreamweaver classes, really anything I want it to do.
