Ok I plan on overclocking my Intel CPU very soon. Just getting my last heatsink. From what I can read, Intel overclocking is just raising the FSB and Voltages until you reach the limit.
I was reading the A64 OC guide and how the FSB is 200 and memory runs on a 200FSB and when you raise the FSB the memory wont like it and you will have to OC the memory. Right now I have a stick of OCZ DDR 2 667 and Value Select DDR 2 533 and the OCZ downclocks to DDR 2 533. I know this combo is not wise, but I have more OCZ coming, damn games dont like 512mb of memory anymore. Right not CPU Z shows a frequency of 266 MHZ. So I wont have to worry about messing with the memory until I reach a FSB of 266MHZ right?
Anyone care to explain the steps into overclocking my system, if the above is not right?
