First time cooler, need help on blocks

I'm looking for some waterblocks for my setup but I don't know which to get. In doing research, I've read about problems with the acrylic tops and to stay away from them as they have a better chance of failure over longer times. The board is an Asus P6T inside a Cooler Master ATCS 840 case... so I have plenty of room. This is my first time building a watercooled setup and I want to make sure I do it right.

CPU: Core i7
I've found the Danger Den MC-TDX and read some good reviews about it. Not sure I like the acrylic mount.

GPU: Asus 9800GTX+ (G92)
I'm looking for a good one here. Do the 8800GTX (G92) water blocks work?

Components I already have for the setup:
Feser 360
Swiftech Micro Res2 (already defluxed).

Still to get:
Tygon tubing, debating on the ID size to use.
barbs/fittings
Pump
 
First off, the DD MC-TDX would be ok for the i7, but nothing special, its a MC block and the i7 is a single core die chip ;) the new EK Supreme LT would be a good block for the i7 ($50 too!)

Secondly the 9800GTX+ is not compatible with the 8800GTX (g92) if I remember correctly, someone at XS tried if I remember right. But have a look at EK's website ( http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/index.php ) Eddy will have a block to suit.

Thirdly I would get another Rad, and run 2 loops, those i7's run hot! or double up on Rad's at the very least ;)
 
That because ASUS is a real PITA :rolleyes:
yeh listen to Red, he knows better than me, I havent had an ASUS card for YEARS!
 
That's why ASUS crap is so cheap (got the card for just under $100). Perhaps I should throw the card on craigslist and find a decent 260 (or better) and a good waterblock. I'm kind of hoping to set this system up on one loop if I can (CPU & GPU only), but I can do a second radiator easily without much problems. I've already OC'd the 920 to 3.788 without much problems (67C on load, 34C idle).

Anyone want to recommend a better graphics card company.

eVGA, XFX, BFG (in any order) seem to take the cake from the nVidia camp.
