This is my new gaming system I’m building and wanted everyone’s input. Will this build play all the game on the market at good to higher settings? This is my first ever build. I need to keep my cost low. I’m getting all of the items from Newegg. The list is below and I will only give a overall cost plus the video card I got for free from my brother. Also what’s a good fan configuration for my case? How many more and what type of fans do I need to buy?

No this will not play games at high settings, I would suggest getting a better video card.

Biggest thing holding you back would be your video card. I would suggest getting a ATI 5000 series card at the least. A 5770 would be ok also see what Nvida has to offer.

It depends what resolution you want to play at. I'd say 1440x900 and below you'd be pretty good. Maybe AA not until 1280x1024 though. That system's pretty good. The limiting factor is the GPU. If you get a better one you will have no problem running all games at highest settings, however it helps to know what res you expect to play at.
 
For a budget build you should really consider going with AMD its simular performance and you might have enough left over to buy a better video card. 200+ dollars on a motherboard is way to much if your on a budget build.
 
Do what Krenum suggested and use the extra cash into fueling a new graphics card. 9800 GTX+ will barely scrape by at 1920x1080 if that's the resolution you plan on gaming on. If your resolution is smaller then the card should do decently. I would still opt to go for something with a bit more punch like a GTX 460.

If you have a Fry's or Microcenter anywhere near you, check out their CPU & Motherboard combos.

all depends on what you consider scraping by.. everyones view on games are different.. and the fact that the OP'er got the card for free ya might as well use it.. then worry about upgrading it later when ya get sick of looking at graphics without AA..

agree with this.. MC has the i7 930 on sale for 200 bucks periodically which is 90 some odd dollars cheaper then newegg.. they also had a pretty nice combo deal with the phenom II x6 1055T..

Can be upgraded in the future. :p

I tend to build a monster system,m and then not worry about it for years. My current rig was expensive, but it has lasted over 3 years now, and is still going strong. My next build will probably be just as expensive, but if it lasts me for years, i don't have to spend as much time building systems.
 
I would get a sli board, find a second one of those cards used for cheap and sli them, doesn't sli scale really well? I think if he could get a used second card for cheap it would be good enough for some higher end gaming.
