First Sata hdd please help me

Ok well heres my setup.
I have 2 250 gig ide hard drives in my current computer.
I just picked up a couple 3200ks drives and installed em in my computer.
Formatted and what not but now i want to make the sata hdd my primary hdd, how would i go about doing that with the ide drives still in tact?
Since theyre disk 3,4 would i change it in bios to boot from drive 3?
or did i just answer my own question
Also i noticed that both of my 250 ide and 3200ks drives are similar, Is it possible to do a ide raid and a sata raid?
Motherboard is Dfi Ultra-D
