Hey guys, I am finally building my first computer from scratch. Well after doing some research and some looking around, I do not really know what kind of PSU I want.

I am looking for something that is QUIET, supports SLI, supports AMD X2, and an ASUS a8n SLI premium. All the PSUs I found are around the $100 range. Are there any good PSUs for less then that and meet my standards?

I have my eye on Antec and Enermax products right now b/c I have heard good things from them. But willing to listen to other opinions. THanks.

EDIT:
I found these 3, which one would you say is the best bang for the buck?

Of those 3, the TP 2 eps12v will offer you the most longevity. I came very close to buying one. Basically the same thing as the TPII except it meets eps standards (whatever that means since the specs are identical on Antecs website) and has the 8 pin motherboard connector. It is said that the newer motherboards coming out will require the 8 pin "eps" connector.

If quiet is your main concern then you will want to look at Seasonic......but it will be more than 100.

The TPII is pretty close to silent (a friend of mine bought a TP2-430), so I have no trouble recommending any of those. I'll second the suggestion to get the EPS version for longevity, although the TrueControl might be more fun in terms of tweakability. After all, think how many motherboards require(d) you to raise the 3.3V rail for RAM tweaking...

What I'm currently using: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=373048

Efficient (80% @ 50% load,) quiet (about 35dbA,) has two PCI-e, four SATA, plenty of juice on the 12V rails and is SLI certified (pending update to nVidia's website.) And the flat FlexForce cables will let you route your cables behind drive bays, under the motherboard, etc. :D

Not to rehash the old issue again, but I haven't seen any reviews of the new model. Do you have any concerns about the old rumors happening again, or are your impressions of the quality better than of the first series?
Regardless, the Ultra only carries a one year warranty- I use my PSUs for years on end, so I'd probably get the Antec or Seasonic anyway for the peace of mind.

There's never been any rumors or concerns about the X-Finity line. They have always been, and still are, made by Wintech. The old X-Connect was made by Youngyear. I think Ultra learned from the quality control fiasco of using Youngyear because, to the best of my knowledge, they're not using them anymore.

1 year is incorrect. The X-Finity has a 3 year warranty and if you register your product you have a Lifetime Warranty.

EDIT: Oh.. I see you're going by ZZF's website. If you look on Ultra's website, the correct warranty is listed right there.

Ok, so my best choice right now is the TPII, still open to recommendations. THanks!

Nothing mentioned is going to do anything better or worse than the TPIIeps12v for the money. I would have mentioned the Seasonic or OCZ but it's another $50-80 bucks over what you've got picked out.
JohnnyGuru mentioned the x-finity which for 79 bucks has a lot of juice and the cables are much nicer but no native eps connector.

Actually, the review Johnny linked at Techgage says the FlexForce (Ultra) does have an EPS connector!
1 - 20/24 Pin Motherboard Connector
1 - 4 Pin +12V Motherboard Connector
8 - 4 Pin Molex Connectors
2 - 4 Pin Floppy Power Connectors
2 - PCI Express Connectors
4 - SATA Connectors
1 - 8 Pin EPS Connector

Thank you sir, I'm very impressed with this new model! It looks like I'll have to give it some serious thought compared to the TPII-550 in my own upcoming build!

That's not quiet to me... way too loud is more accurate :p

hAppy, the TPII does have enough pins for the motherboard - it meets ATX12V v2.0 specification.

Well... that's a guestimate. I don't have the means to measure sound. Maybe SPCR will have a chance to review one. All I know is once inside my case, I can't hear a damn thing.

And it does have the 8-pin EPS connector too.

Thanks! I learn more and more from each post. Is the Antec TP II quiet? I'm seriously considering this PSU.
