First Prey 2 screenies

the 2nd screen, if in-game, is spectacular. The first one is quite underwhelming imo
 
They seem to imply that the game will be open world and non-linear,which sounds promising to me.

This was my thought as well. It's not even a first person shooter from the look of it. And what Prey "universe" are they talking about? We didn't see crap in the first game aside from the aliens weird ass ship and stuff they pulled up from Earth.
 
I wonder, are they just going to throw out the very unique native american angle from the first game or are just going to switch it out with some emo looking bastard.
 
I don't mind games being open world but when the majority of the sidemissions are required for the story and the order in which you complete them has no bearing on it the sandbox shit is just pointless.

I can''t believe I'm actually saying this "Give me back my goddamn corridor shooter and leave me alone. Stop padding out your games with sand(more like cardboard)box bullshit." I'm so fucking tired of being given a choice of a 5 hour shooter or a 20 hour cat litter box of pointless padded side-missions.

Just make a good fucking game. Spend time on it. Rethink it. Stop and redo it. take an extra year we'll get over it.
 
Big fan of the 1st, the open-world aspect sounds pretty awesome IMO, however I have a feeling this is just going to be another console-first, port-to-PC afterthought.

I wait and reserve my judgement as more info comes available...
 
How exactly is this game related to the first one? It doesn't seem to share any gameplay elements with it. It seems like they're creating a new IP and just calling it Prey to help sales. I'm not saying it'll be bad, but it doesn't seem like it'll have any of the things that made the first one interesting.
 
Sot they are ditching the main guy/native american character? Sigh, I liked him and that whole angle they used.

It reminded me of Turok, they took the series from the native american hero to the "Generic white soldier guy" and it sucked big time.

Judging from those screenshots those alien baddies look a lot more "friendlier" than the original game's aliens.

hmmm... what else do I remember about Prey? Portals, walking upside down and stuff going into the "other side". It was a pretty decent game.
 
I thoroughly enjoyed Prey single-player. The multi-player was a joke and should not have even existed.
 
I hope they continue with the Indian theme......The first one left us hanging so Im hoping this game will tie up the loose ends.

What loose ends? the guy takes over the "hive" as their leader in that stupid bubble thingy (that was really confusing...). Now we get to find out if he really took them into the sun or not, other then that ... not much of a cliff hanger after the game ended.

Maybe its been awhile since I beat it but I thought you made the alliance with the "Good Alien" and were pursuing the "Bad Guys"? Maybe I misinterpreted it. Probably need to go back and play it again.

The ending I remember had Tommy returning to Earth after destroying the alien ship.While in the bar where the game started,the woman who led the Native American warriors who helped him appears from a portal and tells him his help is needed again,the game ends with him following her through the portal.

You are both right. The ending included both of these things and in this order.
 
The game seems to have nothing to do with the original, but I can't say I give a shit about that. Portals and zero-gravity, who cares? That wasn't enough to keep me interested in the game beyond 2 hours back then.

If this can be a decent open world game in its own right it could be good.

Regardless, that concept art of the city is one of the most amazing pictures I've seen.
 
From the screenshot am I the only one that thinks it looks... cartoony? I really enjoyed the first one, but not so sure about this one.

It does but again, it's only concept art.

I DARE this game in final form to have awesomeness like that in it.
 
Yeah well that's obviously never going to happen and I don't believe it will. But I can at least stare at the picture and imagine the possibilities.
