All the pictures are 404 :(

That tends to happen after 15 months

I'll see if I can fix the pics or e-mail 'em to you clubmed112.

Nice work man! I might do it to and attach some acrylic under my Ratzpad. Just one question what polishing material did you use to make the edges clear. When I cut acrylic with the table saw I get not very clear edges they are hella blurry and cant see thru them.

I actually said "What the fuck?" out loud when I saw this thread in my control panel. I never did actually try to make the pad back then because I didn't have any plexi lying around, but oddly enough, I do now, and have no class this week. Might just give it a try.~

diagrams? tutorials? man ... thats like too much work! sell me your mousepad!!! $25 shipped? :D

Possably one of the most orginal mods I've seen in a while. You should think of making them then sell'n them off.

Man that's cool. I think i'm going to do that myself, but I've a question. If I was to get some UV LEDs, and paint the etching with a UV reactive paint, would that appear to glow from the perspective of the user, or would it only glow on the side that is directly exposed to the LEDs?

I'm guesing here, but I would think that the paint would stop the light from going all the way through. Might think about invisible/translucent UV paint, might work. Experiment on a scrap piece before investing too much time in the real thing.

That kinda what I was worried about. Well, i'm not going to be able to do this for a while, so i can do a few tests to figure out a way to make that work
