And to all of you who think sony will be putting out a slim pstwo like console I have a little reality check for you. How big are the coolers on geforce 6 series gpus? How big a cooler is the Cell processor going to need if it does indeed run @4.6ghz? The only pc people running that fast aren't using aircooling, their going with vapor phase or water cooling, right? So don't expect a slim sleek sexy ps3, expect a big fat loud ps3, I don't see any way around that. I think Sony/Microsoft should embrace the horror and make a console with a big fat HSF unit sticking out the top of it with a snazzy LED fan on it. That would be kewl.

the new pstwo is small and pretty and it kicks ass, there is no need for a monster fan with the external power supply too.7718 said:Doesn't it look like the psp? Looks legit to me aside from the whole cooling thing i was mentioning. People seem to forget that hardware generates heat, and unless sony has invented a means of taking that heat radiation and reclaiming it to power the unit (thus removing/changing the heat) its going to need some hardcore cooling. I hope they don't make it small and pretty, and have like 1 80mm fan screaming at 6000RPM or something.
Kotaku said:My swarm of leaks has confirmed that Ive posted a totally fake picture of the Playstation 3, and then spent five minutes mocking me for it. The picture, one source says, appears to be a photo of a digital camera thats been heavily photo-shopped and then had a logo slapped onto it.
Kaiga said:That was photoshopped with a Camera, and a DVD player. or it was done in 3-DCAD and Model.
Look at the PLAYSTATION 3 Logo, it has some fading on it, and look right as you see the mid point of the round edge look at this in a picture veiwer and magnify to at least 2X, there is an instant drop of pixels at the top and bottom. you can see a bit of displacement.
But I could be wrong, It could actually be real, but as some others said, its not Sony's style.
oh, ok, nvm sorry.Hate_Bot said:Did you read my post? The Sight that announced it first, confirmed it as a photoshop.
NOT REAL
MeanieMan said:It is the size of portable boombox. There is no way Sony thinks people are going to put that on top of or beside their TV.
Even if it is vaporware, have you seen how thin the phantom is? Thats what I'm expecting.

Plus, people bought the Xbox, that thing cant be much bigger then the xbox (if it was real, which it isnt) (I bought an Xbox and luv it)

You didn't read the rest of the thread that had already determined it was a fake did you?tapehands said:does anyone else find it odd that the ad doesn't just pimp the ps3, but it also has sony's other products? ....like a cell phone?
and that front panel is just fugly imo..where's the eject button? i'm calling photochop. especially if you look at the UMD spot...and how it has mad pixelation going on around it.

Ballz2TheWallz said:i dont understand how the PSP has more power then a ps2 and the mini ps2 has heat problems damn sony is dumb(yes psp is more powerful, battery life and disk storage keep it from that potential )
MeanieMan said:Last time I checked, no one owned a purple computer case with an FX-55 AMD in it.
There are so many more factors beside "performance". Take the PSP for example, that thing is getting slammed all over the net cause of the warranty on the screen. The fact thats its specs are "better" then the DS ended up meaning jack shit.
