This will be used for everything from browsing to gaming to artistic programs.
I plan on overclocking. Any part swaps, comments, or suggestions are appreciated.

Might be worth holding out for the Rampage III GENE that should be coming out soon if you are not in a rush. Other than that, that PC is going to get pretty hot, but I would look for some more input from others. Bear in mind I think you have to modify that case a little to work with an H50 as well, and apparently the Noctua U9P works similar.
 
yeah, ditto on the waiting for the III gene, should be out in the next month -- also, you may want to go 3x2gb on the memory instead of 6x1gb in order to leave upgrade room down the road. 2gb sticks are decently priced and can reach very high fsb's
 
Yeah, originally I was planning on 3x2 Corsair Dominator. I hadn't herd of the rampage III I'll def take a look at it.
 
3x2gb is the way to go and will give you a little more OCing head room for sure!

Have you also considered the EVGA mATX 1366 board? Those can do some really crazy overclocks as well! Not sure which is better honest, but it gives you options.
 
Well I pretty much rethought most of the system and ordered the parts

Changed case to Da Box 100
Changed Mobo from Asus to EVGA
Changed GPU to 5850
Changed RAM from 6x1 to 3x2
Changed SSD from WD to OCZ

I'll throw up some pics soon.
 
Idk, the only case i like for cooling in matx with the H50 is the sg03. you can keep the h50 as an intake on that and not have it trying to cool itself with the hot exhaust. Not sure if the PC-V351B has room to do that.. it could though.

the v351 works well with the h50 since it has a 120mm intake fan directly off the front side of the mobo.

Also I the change to 3x 2gb, But since your going with an ATI based card I would stick to a motherboard that officially supported crossfire & None of the EVGA boards do (the x58 boards are capable of it, but not officially supported by EVGA due to there partnership with nVidia). Plus there is no real advantage going with the top EVGA mATX board (EVGA 121-BL-E756-TR) over the ASUS Rampage II GENE. Infact the EVGA only has a 2 year warranty & the ASUS a 3. That alone accounts for the 10 bucks in price difference.
 
As I said, I've already swapped parts and ordered them. I'm not using the v351...I said I swapped to Da Box 100 from lan-gear, which will work fine with the h50. I did swap ram to 3x2 config for now.

Crossfire doesn't need to be officially supported. It has two full speed lanes and you have a card to card adaptor, it will work fine if I ever get a second card.
 
IMPORTANT NOTE:

I have the DaBox100 and Asus Rampage GENE II mATX motherboard and had issues getting the H50 cooler installed. I think it is going to affect any 1366 mobo with DaBox100 and the H50 cooler. The stock fan with the H50 was hitting the pump that mounts on the processor. I purchased a Scythe Slip Stream Low Profile fan to fix the issue I ran into.

Thanks for the note Segravel. Slipstream fans are pretty sexy anyways, so I may do the same.
