Just installed my first watercooler...Koolance exos al with 300 ho6 cpu block and 180 lo6 video block. Works great and does what I want it too.. cooler temps and quiet operation. Temps with Coolermaster jet 4 while playing Farcry reached 52c...now the motherboard diode temp is 40c at full load and video temp is 26-30c. The Koolance probe is somewhat off due to placement...usually by 5-6c, but that's ok cause I use Digidoc 5 to monitor temps. Was'nt too dificult to do and I would recommend it to anyone for their first attempt.
system:
P4 3.4c
Crucial 184 Pin 512MB DDR x2
CASE ANTEC| MINI SUPER LANBOY
Aspire 520W 12V Triple Fan Aluminum Power Supply
9CJS ZENITH chaintech main board
SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9600XT Video Card, 256MB DDR
Western Digital Raptor 36.7GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive x2
NEC|ND-2500A dvd

Sounds good, are you planning on overclocking with it? I'd be interested to see what kind of results you get with your rig.

EDIT: Welcome to [H]!! Enjoy your stay :D

Already overclocked...220x17 for 3740 is the last stable setting. Temp rise was minimal, reached 44c during FarCry. My real limiting factor, I believe, is my memory. The Crucial timings are a little on the flat side, but I'm happy with it as it is!

silent as a grave...the 120mm fan in front and back make more noise, and that is just a whisper

Mental note for koolance guys. Idont know what kind of fans they put in those things, but so far i havent found one replacement fan that will run at the 5v or what ever low speed. They just dont spin.

...how quiet it that thing anyway?

it is very quiet and its not a tradional fan noise, its more a noise of just air moting through the radiator. it does get kinda loud when on level 3 speeds.

Time to lower the speed of those 120mm fans. Now, you will hear NB fan if you have one :p (than the NB fan... than PSU fan... than....)
Check your mosfet temp btw. Might be a little warmer than you thought.

Hehe nice job, I ust installed my W/Cing. Still waiting on either Danger Den's 6800 W/B or VGA 6800 sliencer type heatsink. My 6800NU Fan is making the most noise its pretty loud, then my 120mm fans at 7-5volts using sunbeam. Its a real sweet feeling. MY temps are quite good. 50C Full load by running folding with an amd Barton@2.5GHZ 1.925volts. Its quite, stable as a rock, and damn I wish I had a better moblie, I bet I could hit 2.7GHZ
