Hey people,
I'm new to this forum and I want to get some information about a intel build.
Before my set up was this:
3800+ 64bit
Asus Sli Deluxe MB
2 gigs o corsair 3200
200 gig HD Western D
XFX 7900 gtx 512mb Pci E Xtreme edition
Vantec 520 PS

I sold that a while back and now I want to build a Intel, My friend has one and it runs great and I like his set up. First thing: I have a case, I also still have the XFX 7900 gtx 512mb Pci E Xtreme edition video card.

So basically I need a processor, Mother board, Power supply, Ram, A good monitor 22"?, A mouse.
All I would us this machine for is Counter strike source, Future games and internet, Dling ect.

I just dont know what to buy really, I have a limit of 1000 bucks and I want something thats not going to run hot and I can over clock because I've heard that intel is good with that.
So please let me know what you guys think of the $ limit and parts, Thanks for your time and looking at my post!:D

I'd get 4gig of ddr2 667, an abit ip35 pro mobo, and the E8400 which is the sub $200 45nm core duo 3ghz processor coming out in january. I'd also pickup vista home premium 64, and a Samsung 226bw 22inch lcd. If you can wait those few months you'll get more bang for your buck by far. PSU: I haven't looked at in some time. I hear good things about the Corsair power supplies tho.

the 45nm pricing is in this thread:
