Not precisely. 500R is mATX or ATX, but not designed for extended ATX. You'd be able to physically install it, but would not have all of the mounting points. It would also block some of the grommeted cable holes.
Is there any particular reason you want an extended ATX board?
They do make a similar styled board in the micro-ATX form factor, but not in regular ATX. It also doesn't have nearly the feature set of the EATX version.
The board you picked is 12" by 10.39". Standard ATX is 12" by 9.6". The long side (12") is vertical in most cases, including yours. 10.39" is not that much more than standard ATX, so you may be OK. Get some paper and make a 12 x 10.39 sheet, and set it into the machine to see how much clearance you have. I've looked at some pictures and it seems that it'd probably fit by eyeball, but it may be a little tighter on the cable grommets and leave you with a little less room for the optical bays etc.
From visual inspection, it does look like all the mounting points will work fine: normally the far right points would be at the edge of the board, but it looks like this one just sticks out past them a bit.
So yea, probably will work fine, but do the paper test to see how it fits.
thanks i will give that a try. I also saw the smaller version, but has less features than its bigger brother. Maybe i will go after the asus maxmus matx mobo
I put an EATX mobo in a 650d case (Mobo ending up being DOA but that had nothing to do with anything). You should be OK. PureQuaternion is right that some grommets or at least part of some of the grommets will be covered. But you SHOULD be OK.
