I'm pretty sure that someone else was The Specialist. And he was listen in the credits in the beginningparanoia4422 said:someone else hacked it but also refused to release info about it, whats the point of doing so if your not letting out to the public?
does show how ruthless hacking community is, and there could also be an xbox pluged into the back AV ports running the real game so in no way can this be taken as real
SCSI-Terminator said:You know if you read that forum for a bit (and follow the clues), you realize he didn't realy hack the 360's firmware, but rather the firmware of the DVD drive so that it fakes the DRM protection (same thing A120% or D-tools does with drivers) He goes on to say that this hack is perfect for piracy since the 360s firmware is unaltered and it can't be detected by Live, but unfortunatly, thats all its good for.
They need to hack the firmware to run unsigned code, or at least get you around region encoding, thats the true goal. This hack is useless unless your a pirate.
Syphon Filter said:All that hack does is get the DVD drive to report back to the 360 that it has a genuine disc in it even though its a copy. Hence my post saying that it just allows copied games to be run. As you say, its only useful at the moment if you are a pirate. The question is, with this being pretty much undetectable at the moment how many people will be tempted over to pirate their games??

If there's a mountain people will climb it, thats for certain.

**Edit: I just downloaded the video. Man that sucks for MS. Let the piracy unfortunatly begin.
