Firmware upgrade procedures for a router firmware upgrade should be thoroughly documented in your router's user manual and on the manufacturer's website.

    Sure its a hardware issue?

Only time I've ever had that sort of almost predictable disconnecting, it was caused by a faulty groundwire on my cable line outside.

you know might be right ..although the cable is run through the walls

its hard to say. there could be a number of aspects that could go wrong
