Well the good news is, it is a whole lot easier than I thought. Bad news is........ I just realized that my replacement PSU that I took from my older computer when I accidentally fried the one in this one....... is 235W. :|
Yes... thats right.... 235W.
Man does that suck. I can't get my FSB above 133 (default). I tried to got to 138, and run Prime95, and I got a hardware failure. I also tried 143 and 148 before I realized that it was my PSU (hey, this is my first time).
However, I just changed my multiplier to x9.5 as opposed to x9.0, and it seems to be stable so far. I'm going to try x10 next.
Now since my FSB is still so slow, would increasing my multiplier even give me much more performance?
And yes I know, I guess before I get that stick of RAM, I should get a new PSU.
