OK guys, i was/am an old skool hardcore CRT fanboy, my 5-year-old Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB is working perfect. Can't tell you how well i have treated it over the years...took great care.
I avoided LCD because i felt the technology had not evloved enough and considering the 1000 price tag of the CRT i wanted to get a full life from it, no doubt i'd get another 5 years from this Mitsubishi...but i felt like a change
My criteria might seem stupid, but i needed an LCD that was white/beige to match my case and other hardware, few days ago i came across the BenQ M2400HD
http://benq.com/products/LCD/?product=1378
It had everything i wanted, the looks and white/silver frame matched my hardware and in fact it looked very much like my 2070SB
The added webcam/headphone socket/speakers and USB hub helped...i snooped and read as much as i could and the user comments here, so my question is simple...did i make the right choice
I have ZERO experience of LCD, i do look at trends and what the latest tech is, i know about panels and response time etc., but that still does not account for *practical* hands on experience.
I know y'all here are old hands at LCD so i'd appreciate any comments and insight
p.s. if Sony made those 24" widescreen CRT's still i'd kick any LCD to the curb
