Today we have started to develop a block for the upcoming NVIDIA GTX280 graphics card. We just wanted to share the current state with you:

The block is very flat and made of pure electrolyzed copper. It has G 1/4" threads which allows the use of several connectors.

Since the block is not final yet, we would like to hear your opinion. We can still do some changes on the block (design etc.).

For SLI we might do a version with a plexiglas cover so you have two additional threads in the other direction.
The standard cover is made of stainless steel.

In order to be sucessful in this market you must make it SLI friendly and show some inside shots. Wouln't hurt to have to in the US market within six months of release as AC lost alot of 8800 sales due to failure to deliver. Case in point Sharka didn't have blocks until the 8800 series explosion was over so they are sitting on 20+ blocks for 8800GT/GTX

I would pay few bucks extra for pre-sli ready with caps. But i won't pay a cent for one that isn't

Any words on price and availability? I'd pick it up on launch day if it was reasonable and available :)

Anybody notice it appears NV is going with the NVIO chip for this series?
