.[EDIT] if u dont want to read a bunch of useless crap, skip down to the 17th post, a little shortcut

well, its getting closer to christmass, u know the drill....... :p

i got $2,000 to spend...gaming....sli (one 6800gt now....two later).....i need the works........

Motherboard: some SLI board, i am under the impresion that asus, msi, and gigabyte will have boards out by christmass

Processor: i am not too sure about this one, i can either get a 3200+ with a xp120 or 90 and some fan, or get a 3500+ with stock cooling and upgrade it later.......winchester core, of course....i'm leaning towards the 3500+ (i never oced anything before so i will have to read into it more and am not planing to do it right away)

Case: i was thinking about the old coolermaster ATC-220B, the azure one(translation:blue) and getting a HDD cooler for it (no intake)....i really have no idea though...i am having second thoughts...~$100....i really want 120mm fans without having to mod them (no tools), but i am focused a lot on looks........

RAM: kingston HyperX with half-life 2(newegg), or if this promotion does not last, OCZ EL platinum Rev 2......both are around the same price and have TCCD chips(translation: 2-2-2-5 timings) 1gb(2x512), PC3200....and what about a DDR Booster?

PSU: no idea

HDD: Seagate 200gb SATA (will get a raptor when the price drops a bit)

Optical drive: NEC 3500a, i think i'm gonna get a 56x cd drive to accomadate my raptor later on...or whatever is the highest speed when i do....

Floppy: i don't care, only need it for the SATA drive, the cheapest one i can find

Printer: no idea, i got ~$100 to spend on one, all-in-one(print, copy, scan), got a $50 off a printer more then $100 cupon from Dell but i herd their printers suck

Monitor: viewsonic P95f+b (i think that is the right name) 19inch, 1600x1200@85hz

OS: windows xp home

Anti-virus: norton anti-virus 2005

Video Card: i already mentioned this but what the hell, PCI-E 6800gt, i will probably get another one in august(my birthday)

Mouse: MX510, do i need a pad?

Keyboard: i dont really care, logitech elite sounds good

Sound Card: not sure....read somewhere that creative labs is coming out with a new card (i think..) and i dont think i can fit one in my budget anyways..so onboard sound for now

Speakers/Headset: well, i would have liked speakers, but my sister is getting a new stereo and our rooms are right next to each other :( , so a headset will have to do, i am not gonna read the 20 page post of gaming headsets in the audio forums, i am trying to squeeze ~$100 for this, i would like them to be comfortable and cover my whole ear...i am not an audiofile but i want them to soud good and have good bass.

i hope i covered everything.........i will overclock when i get good cooling for the processor...
sorry for not giving any links but i dont think anyone that is familiar with newer pc components will need them.

well, i can't have everything and after this build i wont have any money left so i think i could manage to get farcry, doom3, and hl2 for free from promotional offers, well, at least 2 of the 3

oh yeah, and i will be useing arctic silver 5

remember that this is my first build so if u know of any guides with LOTS of pictures, i will be very grateful...

Um, wow. Overwhelming, but I'm in a good mood I guess...

Motherboard: You want SLI? You'll have to wait. I do not have the slightest idea on the specs of their new SLI motherboard, so patience it is.

Processor: I'd suggest you to go get the 3500+. And of course, the XP120 with it (later, when you can afford it). I believe you'd want a very silent computer. But please do some research on if the XP120 can fit the new SLI motherboards. Some can, some can't. So be very sure about this one. Once you have that XP120 on, you can O/C mildly, and safely. It's not a very big thing. In fact, I'll give you a perfect analogy. Technology: You changing the refresh rate on your monitor. Real life: You having fun with your beautiful sexy girlfriend testing different ways that would make her happy in bed ( :p ).

Case: I'd suggest you to get a 120 mm rear fan hole for a case but I will assume that the Coolermaster case has only 80? There's one particular case I'm familiar with that has 120 mm in the back and the design is quiet. However, they do include the default 350-ish watt PSU with it. You'd may wanna ditch that for a more powerful one.

Sorry, that's the only things I could think of. The looks are subjective, you may decide if it looks good or not. :) Also, why do you need a HDD cooler? I would recommend you to have an intake fan in the front of the case. They're very important and it's more important to have the balance of 1:1 in terms of intake vs outtake pressure (fans). Use the old coolermaster if you think you'll be okay with it.

RAM: Looks good, very good. Of course, you have plenty of other choices to make but OCZ and Kingston's HyperX is great (Nab that half-life 2 deal! Quick!). And what's a DDR booster? :-X

PSU - You want at least 400 watts. Check the Power Supply forum and click on the PSU sticky in which they have a complete list of companies to buy from from certain price points. Everything there is "qualified" as a good PSU, so take advantage of that.

HDD: Your hard drive is great, but I guess you'll use the OS on the raptor and the 200 GB as a back up data hard drive, right?

Optical drive: You can get the Sony Dual Layer DVD+/-RW which I have. It works great. Or, if you'd like to go premium, get Plextor's. Though NEC's offering is just fine too.

Floppy: $5 dollars! $5 dollars! $5 dollars! :)

Printer: Yes, Dell's printers are rebadged Lexmark printers and they aren't too good. :) Just go for Hewlett Packard when it comes to printing or the combo. I only know of the expensive form of the combo (scan, fax, phone, *everything else*...) which is about $300.

Monitor: Or my love-- NEC MultiSync 19" for the same spec's... :)

OS: No comment.

Anti-virus: No comment.

Video Card: 6800 GT then. :)

Mouse: Yes! You do NEED a pad. Get the Xtrac *or* the fUnc 1030U Surface mousepad. This is the best you can get. It will glide smoothly and somehow you will aim better as well! :) I would suggest the latter however, fUnc's.

Keyboard: No comment.

Sound Card: Today's integrated sound chips sound a lot better compared to before. It is actually still usfeful for short periods of time, maybe for gaming as well. However, the new sound card might be the Audigy 3 or... 4. Just wait.

Speakers/Headsets: One word: Sennheiser. Go find that out. They are one of the few companies that actually make damn good high quality headphones. For for that. I just hope they have one for $100. Otherwise, 200 and 300 is the norm.

Arctic Silver 5: Wonderful choice.

No pictures for you, sorry though. But it's easy. Just read the manuals/books. Mmmkay: Good luck, man.

wow, thanks alot GeforceX!!! i wasnt expecting that big of a reply........i guess i am on the right track....

i am patient for sli, thats the only reason i havent built the computer. the xp120 should fit on the asus board that is coming out soon...i want the DFI board but thats not gonna come out in time :(

hmmm.....its really tough trying to find a case, i am very picky about looks......i want thinking about the thermaltake tsunami but i guess i have to see that in person to make my final choice.

i wanted an hdd cooler because that coolermaster case i mentioned had no intake

i dont really know what a ddr booster is but they have an OCZ one on newegg, i think it is good for overclocking

for the psu, i think i need one of those new 2.0 psu's......one with two 12v things, i think at least 18a on each

for the hdd, i am only gonna get the 200gb now, then LATER will get a raptor and use it for the os and games

i will look into that moinitor, i thought about that except on newegg, the viewsonic has a higher refresh rate at 1600x1200......which is why im getting a $400, to play at 1600x1200

tomshardware.com has a review out for gaming mouse pads but they are like $40-$50, i think i will just get a nice $10-$20 one for now.....

and for the headset....i was looking at these....hd 280 ......rs120 (these are wireless, dont look too comfortable though)......pc155 (these are kind of the middle man, whats does it mean by USB)......and.....if i can afford them.....hd555(these look very comfortable but dont have a mic)

it only fair i give u an long reply too :) , it was a PITA to make all those links though

For PSU I'd say look at antec True power. They have them in 430 and 480 (and lower, but we won't have none of that)

I just got a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz for a sound card and it's good. I'm not really one to talk about sound though because I've been using integrated sound for a long long time. But this card with the new Logitech Z-3 is by far the best sound I've ever had, no comparison. Bass is so beautiful, I wish I didn't have to turn it down.

Don't ypu want DVD-RW? I've got it but have yet to find anything worth copying. I've only had mine together for maybe a month, and it put me back about 2 grand. And I'm not done yet, not even close. mmmmmm RAID 0. lights. cords. GAMES!

**PART ONE**

No problem, I learn as I help too, so why not? I mean, you'd think I'd do all this if this didn't benefit me too?

Just kidding! :p

I don't know about you but I find it much better to just have one video card. Even though I've seen the [H] preview on the SLI thing, but the frame rate increase quite honestly didn't impress me. I don't know if it's worth it. Maybe someone here can tell me something a lil' more 'bout it. The only reason why I wonder about this is because I notice people actually going for SLI. So, I'm boggled here.

So you did your research on the Asus board? Hopefully, you can wait to see which board is the best for you (you don't want to just get a board with the least features just because the XP120 can fit on it). Especially DFI's. When is that going to come out?

Keep in mind, functionability > looks. You'd only be lucky to find a hot case that you love that actually has useful and proper stuff designed on/in it. My weak area would be the "know what case to buy" area, so you're on your own here. But, if you can, try to make a simple mod that will allow a front intake. That will make a worldly difference in your overclocking experience.

However, I was looking up that Thermaltake Tsunami case and well wow, it looks like it would answer your needs. It has a 90 MM intake (with a filter!), a side intake and a huge 120 MM outtake. Pretty good I have to say. It looks good too. A quote...

Thermaltake Tsunami Aluminum Case (VA3000)

With the Tsunami case, Thermaltake has really been pushing their "mirror coating" paint job. I'd say a picture is worth a thousand words if you look below. I have seen some nice paint jobs over the years but the Tsunami's (and the LANMOTO's) is hands down, without question, comment or reservation the best paint job I have ever seen on a case. The paint job was so good in fact that taking pictures of this case proved to be quite a challenge.

However, I do have one case on my mind and it's the Kingwin KT-424 model. All aluminum, has front and outtake, a window on the side, high quality construction, very clean looking, no funky colorful kiddy design. I was thinking of getting that but I'm not going to build an entirely new PC anytime soon, so it'll be on my hold list. But I do think it would be a good case for you. About $100-ish.

Also, I don't think you actually *need* a HDD cooler. If you have an intake somewhere (on the inside) then that would suffice. If not, I guess you might need one.

-J.

**PART TWO**

OCZ released some bogus stuff before. I'm not sure if DDR Booster is another one of those bogus stuff. I've read some reviews on it but I'm not sure if they're *PAID* to do that. The thing is, do you really *need* that? If you increase the voltage on the RAM, you'd have to increase cooling which I think the intake fan and the side fan of the tsunami case would help. ;)

The ATX 2.0 PSU's. You can get the latest and greatest from PC Power & Cooling. It does seem like you're going all out ($2000 dollars especially). They have the latest 2.0 specifications, or you can ask in the Power Supply forum and see which power supplies out there are now 2.0 specified.

I play at 1024 x 768 @ 120 hz. I got so used to the resolution, I didn't think it was that bad. Seems like I might have to up that a bit after I do a full format.

Tom's Hardware = Biased (or so people say). You don't need a $40 to 50 dollars mousepad (lol). Get the fUnc 1030 ($19). Some people say Steelpad 4D ($23 -- including free teflon tape for your mouse) is the same as the fUnc, only except it's larger (which is good, I would say). So try that out.

Do not buy wireless headsets. They are not that great, especially in sound quality. There is yet a company that could implement two important things in one... an actual high quality headphone with a high quality microphone. It's always either a good headphone but a crappy mic. or a crappy headphone but a damn good mic. Why? I don't know. But, usually you should buy separate ones.

Update: I realize I am speaking from past knowledge. Perhaps things have changed today so, I am not sure.

Those PC series are great. :D Let's hold the Sennheiser headsets in exception. They may be good in both auditory and mic. :) The PC155 connects to a usb port. This is good if you have a case with a usb input port. The Kingwin case has that. I don't know about the Tsunami though. PC155 USB= $100.00 avg. And I'd recommend that.

Hope any of this helps.

-J.

So far tests have shown that a single Ultra, especially when overclocked, gets the same and some times even slightly HIGHER framerates as two GTs in an SLI config.

Don't waste your money on $800 worth of video cards just because you think SLI is cool. Put your money toward a CPU that won't bottleneck an overclocked 6800 Ultra at high resolution. Like an FX55.

Consider how much heat will be created and how much power will be drawn by that kind of configuration... not to mention how much space it will claim inside your case!

I would advise against the Kingwin. For $10 more the Lian Li that it is trying to rip off can be had, and the construction and aesthetics are far superior.

If you've ever seen the Kingwin case in person, it is somewhat cheap looking. Not something I would use for a $2k build.

i have been going back and fourth on this whole sli issue ever since i herd of it. it could be good it could be bad. lately(today) i have been thinking that the only reason that sli works is that the video cards were originally designed for agp x8, so with a pci-e x16 slot, u can split that in two and put two cards that used to be agp x8. the problem here is that i was thinking that the next generation cards will use the whole pci-e x16 slot and blow these current cards away and make sli obselete. if anyone knows anything about the next gen cards please tell me if im right or wrong. this lets me believe that i can get a sli board now with ONE 6800gt and then by the time i get another one, the next gen cards will be out and if they are so much better i can just get one of those use the full power of the pci-e slot and wont be able to use sli . but now it boils down to spending the extra $100 on a motherboard..........although this would all be wrong if the the two slots on the sli mobos were both pci-e x16 slots but i dont think so..........

this is probably gonna be like the old voodoo sli stuff that was out a long time ago and only boosted performance for a little while

...........i will make a complete list of parts i think im gonna get in a little bit.........

You don't really need a HD cooler for 2 ATA drives as long as you have decent airflow.

Don't waste your money on a DDR booster, TCCD chips don't require high voltage.

The Antec NeoPower is a good choice, checkout the PSU section for more info.

Also, this is a very bad time to build since it's right before all the new stuff comes out. Just be patient and wait a couple of months when all the SLI boards are out and you can read reviews/experiences with them.

From what I've seen here, at 1600 x 1200, SLI is quite beneficial.

Heat and space are hardly siginicant issues if you have decent airflow and don't have a ton of PCI cards.

Lian Li makes excellent cases. I highly recommend one. Look at the PC-6x series.

Video Card: BFG Technologies

Nice case, but that video card is AGP, I think he's looking for PCI-E.

For $2000 this is what I would personally do:

3500+ OEM $285
K8N Neo2 $139
1GB Ballistix $260
1x Raptor II $177
NEC 3500A $65
eVGA 6800 Ultra $499
Audigy 2 $93
PCP&C 510 $189

In this case: Custom Water-Cooled Coolermaster $259

Sub-total: $1966

oh yeah, now add in a monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer, and headset and u would be surprised how little 2k is (not that it isn't a lot)

i've been thinking some more, how about this for an idea;

i can get a nf4 ultra board now for about $100, wait and watch how sli plays out, if it is the way to go, i will sell the nf4 ultra board and get an good overclocking sli board when the price drops to about $100(probably more like $130-$150) and altogether i would have paid ~$200 in the first place(for a motherboard). and then i can get a xp120 or xp90 or what ever is the best out then, and fan for that and overclock my machine :) - sound good? i think i may have found a loop hole (hmm...but who would want to buy my nf4 board?)

---------

i also got a few questions;

HDD- what about sata2 drives?

Optical drive- should i save a few bucks and get a 56x cd drive now and then get the nec 3500a later? because i dont really think i am gona burn any dvd's and if my sister wants to burn them, or cd's which she probably does , i can tell her she has to pay for the 3500a drive...but that would be mean :(

printer- if u look on newegg in the printer section, ther is an ad at the top of the page that says that if u buy any psu, mobo, cpu, and ram from them that u can get one plain printer for free or get an ugly ass all-in-one printer for $5(all after rebates)- is the ugly ass one good? i think i read somewhere that it is but damn! its ugly! *kicks it under desk*problem solved!

Just a couple of quickies:

As for next gen cards being able to make full use of the bandwidth, I don't think you'll see cards for a little while that can suck up all that bandwidth in gaming situations. For video streaming, then yes it might not be too long before they are able to utilize it. Go dig through some reviews and you should get an idea of how much extra bandwidth is still sitting idle in gaming situations.

As for the SATA2 drives, I'd wait until you are ready to buy and see what the word is at that time. As far as I know, SATA2 drives are still pretty rare. No reason not to go that route though unless there are some sort of "birthing issues" but we won't know that until they've been out a while. No idea what the pricing will be like on these drives, but if you are looking to spend some cash on your HD, perhaps consider a WD raptor for your primariy drive (OS and apps) and a secondary storage drive for data. I only bring up the 2-drive route as the raptors are not made in sizes larger than 74Gig at this time. However, they are wicked fast with a seek time about 1/2 of your regular SATA drive.

As for the optical drives, I've always went Plextor myself. Every drive of theirs that I've used has lasted me until I was ready for an upgrade. I've not replaced a single one due to failures so far. There is an added plus in that they make SATA dvd burners as well, so you could go totally SATA if you are interested in reducing cable clutter. The 716SA is due out very soon now, and it is a 16x Dual Layer SATA burner. I'm keeping an eye on this one myself:) You may not have much desire to burn DVDs, but I thought the same thing until I had a drive to do it with. Data backup is much easier when you've got several Gig worth of storage on a single disk.

Oops, sorry. Force of habit.

Just a warning on the printer thing... cheap printers will cost you in headaches and heavily gouged replacement cartridge prices. I should know, I picked up a Lexmark (big no-no) AIO from Best Buy because it was on sale, and I could have bought 3 new printers with all the money I've spent on replacement ink by now.

ok....now back to the parts....

case: not sure, i dont really need any more suggestions on this one, i basically know all the cases with 120mm fans in my price range, it boils down to ,looks when i see them in person

processor: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 512K 90nm (939) = $270 and since it is oem and newegg has the retail sold out for $294, i am gonna get a aftermarket heatsink and fan with arctic silver 5

optical drive: (screw it, i was trying to get the cheapest prices off a couple of websites but thats taking too long) Nec 3500a

HDD: Maxtor 200gp SATA 2 drive (it may not be the fastest with 9.3 ms compared to the seagate with 8.5ms but it has sata 2)

RAM: well, the kingston deal with HL2 ran out :( , so i guess i will go with the OCZ EL platinum Rev. 2

Motherboard: i guess its between a nf4 ultra and sli board

printer: thanks for pointing out the ink consumption thing, i guess i have to read some reviews.

Video card: PCI-E 6800GT, i guess i could get one with doom3(if they have em) the onkly places i saw them were on newegg for $500 and on monarch for $450, but they are both sold out

Monitor: viewsonic p95f+b

keyboard: logitech elite

mouse: mx510

mouse pad: Func Surface 1030 Black Base Mousepad

sound: onboard

PSU: ENERMAX Noisetaker AX ATX12V Ver 2.0 485W Power Supply

headphones: i dont think i can fit these in budget but, Sennheiser HD555 Stereo Headphone

os: windows xp home (now i dont think i need a like for that)

Anti-Virus:NOD32

well, i think thats everything, the sad part about it is because its probably gonna come out to be $2300-$2500 shipped (~$100 for shipping) , after i decide on all the parts it will be time to downgrade

i am gonna buy the motherboard, cpu, and ram from monarch though, u get farcry, HL2, and a 4 month subscription to napster for free! :)

well, i think i am gonna go with the tsunami dream case, my sister liked how it looked so its all good :) , and plus it has a lot of good features for its price

and for the printer, i am just gonna go with the hp 1315, i read a review that said it was pretty good, i dont know how much u should pay for ink though, right now (i have an old, very old, hp printer that costs ~$25 per cartridge) this printer is basically the same, can have a total of 3 cartridges, one for black, color, and photo ink. i dont know if that is a lot of money to spend on ink but i dont really use my printer all that much anyway, just basically for school and that still is very little.....thats why im only spending $100 for one, and i want an all-in-one printer just to be able to copy or scan if i want to, not too big on qualtiy. and also my mom works at sears and i think they sell these so she can probably get one for around $50 at the right time.

It's always more expensive than you thought. The exact same thing happened to mine.

wow, no comments?

most people probably hit the back button once they see the first post lol, lazy basterds :p

Nice to see your updated list. I was out for a day, will respond later. :)

-J.

just remembered something about that ddr booster, i read a review a while back on the sli gigabyte board at anandtech, they said that the board would overclock very well but can only supply 2.8v, so if i had the ddr booster i could use more power correct? because i herd on the review on the ddr booster that it allows u to use more power for ram without having to do a volt mod............i will ask this on the overclocking forum later after i search it

Well, considering this is your second thread on building this computer, I think you've got a pretty decent number of responses. There's only so much we can offer; you've got to take the reigns eventually and make the final decisions on your own.

yea i know, but the last thread didnt turn out as well as i would have liked it too and since this is my first time build, i would appreciate as much feedback as possible :) , and i know there are still a lot of people out there that could help the least bit

i went on monarchcomputer.com on their custom configurator and priced out a system at $2137 i think.......without the headphones (i uses that $200 gigabyte board to compensate for the sli mobo and some other videocard that was $450 to compensate for the 6800gt pci-e)

and i went on gigabyte's website and in the description of their sli board, they mentioned to use the firewall provided and norton antivirus...so i might just get norton antivirus 2005.......i dont know....

just to say, i checked this post too many times today, thats why i think it is going slow, i have to do a history project and was looking up information for a good chunk of the day...was too boring so i took a lot of short breaks :p

[edit] i know i shouldnt be adding on seeing that im overbudget in the first place but, maxtor 300gb 16mb buffer sata2drives are only $200 ($70 more then the seagate mentioned above) and i herd they are better then the raptors....so i am gonna get one, and also 300gb capacity is more then enough but is nice to have....now i have to beg my mom to pay bit more......(i am gonna get a job and pay her back in full so i am not an ass, and plus i am only 15(that should straighten ur thoughts))

I sure hope you're going to do this yourself and not use monarchcomputers. I just did my first and it went fine. Sure, there were slight difficultys, but nothing major.

oh, yeah, i am gona do it myself, it was just easy to come up with a total price useing their setup

i must say, i am surprised when i look at how long these responces are, this is a pretty long thread and i know a lot of people who look at it get bored half-way through and dont bother. i really appreciate the select few who actually read everything and kept replying, i know i have been bumping alot and adding a bunch of random thoughts and this thread is gettign a little disorganized, as much as i hate to waste space, i am going to see how this thread plays out tomarrow and if it doesn't take off because of all the condfusion, i will start a more clarified thread on tuesday to downgrade all that is necessary to stay in budget since i basically know at least one part to get for each category.

and i realized i have a lot of stuff on my "get latter list", if i had $2500 to spend i would be set for everything and better stuff as well but u cant have everything and this new computer is turning out to be pretty "kick ass"

Them experts are probably still around here somewheres. Just drop down what you have left to do.

good idea, i basically only have 3 things left to make a solid decision on...

HDD: is the 300gb 16mb maxtor worth the price?

PSU: still not completely sure if that enermax will do it, i herd someone say somewhere that u need at least 18a on the 12v1 and 12v2, the enermax i listed has 18a on the 12v1 but only 15a on the 12v2....the 600w enermax has i think 18a and 17a but too expensive (although i will buy it if i have too)

Headphones: well, i got a thread in the audio section to cover this

after this are answered to, i will just make a new thread just to review the parts and make sure they are compatable which i think they are

I you're talking about the 300GB OEM for $204 then I myself wouldn't get it. But I don't really need all that space. I got my 160GB seagate for $120 and then got 2 60GB $30 maxtors for RAID 0 (for no other reason but because I can). I don't need anything more than the seagate though. I just suppose it come down to what you need and what you can afford.

And if that PSU is really bothering you (I still suggest Antec) but alot of people around here swear by PC Power and Cooling. I think they might be kindof expensive though.

the only reason i considered the 300gb hdd was because it has 16mb and i herd that it out performs the raptor drives, and if it does, its a bargain for the same price as a 74gb raptor....it does boil down to what i can afford but i will drop it down if i really have to, this is just the preliminaries now, the finals will be in my next thread ;)

and enermax makes good psu's, i have no doubt its a good one but i'm worried if i will need more power for sli ( i am kind of paranoid since the psu can take out everything with it )

and just to tell u guys, i am thinking about the Beyerdynamic DT770 for headphones

i can't wait to see how this one turns out... mods are always quite nice to watch.

well, i am not going to mod so much, i am just planning on adding som LED fans and cold cathode lights, i will post pictures though, if i can get my hands on a digital camera (yeah i know, its sad that i dont have one but my mom likes her old normal camera so no need to update)

[EDIT] a link for the headphones is http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...kw=BEDT770&is=REG&Q=&O=productlist&sku=313910
becareful though because the non-pros are bigger and a bit more expensive. i dont think i will be able to buy these though because of the price but i read rave reviews about them........and i wont buy from that site i linked to because i cant return them....

i will have to go to a few local store to actually get my own perspective of the sound.
and by the way, which stores would have these headphones on display? i got a best buy, circuit city, media play and some other places around my area

i'm still excited... i'm just starting on my first mod (don't ask-- it'll be at least mid-january before i get anything noteworthy done and i do not have pics) and i'm planning a window for mine...

:D tho it'll probably looked like i hacked it out with my kindling hatchet...

Mod Edit - One thread per subject, in the most appropriate forum, please. Here's a link to your "latest" thread on this subject:
