Hey I am about to build a new computer and i would like some input on it. If i should change some parts..or maybe wait a bit for pcie or something else. Any input would be helpful. The max amount of money i can spend is around 2000g.

Now i picked a 939 socket motherboard. Do you think i should go with that or should i just stick with that 754. I really dont upgrade a lot. At the moment i have a 1.4 gzh computer. I usually buy a kick ass computer and then just stick with it for a long time. Is that a good system or is upgrading slowly the best?

Right now its a bit over 2grand...mostly becuase of the monitor which i really dont need..lol but it would be nice.
 
Get the AMD athlon 3000 64 sence you can overclock it to 2.4ghz or even higher. :) Nice setup though!
 
I wouldn't wait for PCI express. From just about every benchmark shown with the new intel chipset at least, there is no difference at all in gaming performance.

I would look for maybe a faster DVD drive then that (12x, not much more expensive, I saw one on newegg yesterday.)

If you really want a kick ass system I believe (not totally sure) that 64s like to deal with very fast memory, maybe look at something more then PC3200.
 
I have the same DVD burner and it's a nice drive...Burned a dvd in ~11 minutes today with 4x media...

I would also like some info on the hard drive situation. At the moment i have those two picked but i am not sure what is the best setup or if those are the right ones to pick. If i do go with this setup what should go on the fast one...the OS and games? and then use the 120 for storage? or is there a better way? Also if i get two harddrives should i set them up in raid formation? I have never done it that way and not sure how lol.

Yeah the reviews that were on newegg were all plus....and its hard to say no to 68 bucks.

btw all parts are coming from newegg
