No, Going to purchase Win 7 64 bit.

Here is what I have come up with so far. Tell me what you think or possible changes. Going with full win 7 due to cheap price and option to reinstall whenever without any license hassle. I assume that is a good thing to do first time builder though.

Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield
ASUS P6TD Deluxe-----------------------------------------------------Cpu/Mobo combo: $564
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB)1600
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5770----------------------------------------Mem/Gpu combo: $385
Western Digital Black 640GB 7200 32MB-----------------------------------------HDD: $75
Sony Optiarc Black 24X -----------------------------------------------------------------DVD: $25
CORSAIR Cooling Hydro Series CWCH50--------------------------------------Cooler: $78
COOLER MASTER CM690 II Advanced ------------------------------------------ Case: $100
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Full ------------------------------------------OS: $183

personally, the Dominator are too much. You can get a 6gb set for 159 and spend more on the GPU.
Your gpu should have a Lifetime warranty instead of 2 years. XFX is less money than the Sapphirre.

Samsung F3 500gb is the fastest single platter drive out in the market and $55 . or- For $14 more than the 640gb get the 1tb samsung.
You need a power supply, get the corsair 650tx for $90
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Full is a waste- You can do the same with the OEM version, you might need to make a phone call.

I understand you want to price this out, but all of these special expire in 26 hours from now (FEB1)

I forgot to add that I already have a PSU 700w ocz. I didn’t think about the deals expiring but I am not overly worried about that. I will drop the dominator and go with this instead : CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) $150.

What happens if I buy the oem version of win 7 and need to reinstall for some reason, but Microsoft won't validate it? That is the reason I put the full version. This is my first build and I don't want to buy win 7 twice if I screw it up. Also, what if later down the road I want to change my mobo can I still use the same oem copy?

Honestly if you are gaming I would work to get a better video card over your cpu/motherboard. Maybe downgrade to a i5 750 build and get a 5850.

I can easily drop the full win 7 and the 5770 and pick up the oem win 7 64 and a 5850 at about the same price difference. Can anyone calm my nerves about the oem os?

ocz gamexstream 700w its currently inuse so don't have the model number.

Not the best PSU. It is known to have ripple suppression issues above 500W. With your planned GPU, you most likely won't be using more than 500W. However, if you want to have additional room for future upgrades or the peace of mind, I would suggest purchasing a quality power supply. Some good units to look at are the Corsair 650TX/650HX, Antec TruePower TP-650, Antec EarthWatts 650W, or Seasonic M12 700W.

Ok, Sorry for the lag between posts.

The model number on my current PSU is OCZ GXS700 700w. My new question is should I get a new PSU ( CORSAIR 750TX 750W ) for $100, or keep my current one and put that extra money towards a 5870 instead of the 5850? Since others have said the OCZ psu isn’t a good one to keep.
