I've been working on this machine for a few days and I was wondering if any of you had some suggestions for wire management.

This is my stealth mod (the open/close button has been modded to the reset switch on the front panel)

In my case i hid all the exposed IDE cables behind the HDD bay\3.5 and for the rest of my wires i used electrical tape to hold them in places.

Doesnt look that bad. My first time many years ago sucked big time. Good start.

on the L frame that's above the mainboard tray, you can cut a hole, make sure there's power supply clearance though. (a holse saw is best, just sandwich it between wood, and watch for rivets)

then feed excess power cables through there, so you can hide them on the back side

you can also cut a 1/2" x 2" slot on the side of the 5 1/4 bays (just go in the middle, where no screws go) and slide cables through there to the cd-rom

Hello,
I'm curious as to how did you mod your drive open/close switch to the reset button? Thanks

All I did was cut the connector that goes from the reset button to the motherboard off, then I opened up the cdrw casing and soldered the wires to the bottom side of the pcb where the switch on the cdrw is.

ooh....icic thanks for the info... =)
anyway maybe instead of wire looms, you could try hiding the cables behind the mobo tray...you could also dremel holes on the tray itself to place your wires through...
