I have been wanting to get into it for a while but I never did. Now that I have I don't think I'll ever go back to air cooling. Well....as long as nothing leaks and fucks up. :D

Anyhoo on with it.

CM Wavemaster
D4 pump
RBX block
1/2" everything/ Tygon/water wetter
T config
dual 80mm radiator(I would love to use a cheap heatercore that performed just as well if not better but I didn't want a blowhole config. Not much fits in a wavemaster)

I'm going to move the pump out a little so the tline isn't in the way so much. I left the tube long because I'm not sure if I want to use the filler cap yet. I might just cut it pretty short and cap it off. In the front I'm going to put some foam in front of the radiator so it brings in air through the holes on the front face of the case and not from the cracks going inside the case.

Anyone see anything that needs some improvement? My p4 3.0C is running at 3.75 with a 32C temp at full load with this setup, so I'm pretty satisfied.

look very nice.
you wont be using colored liquid?
that case looks very nice with light blue liquid and white lights. (mimics LiquidCooled rig)

i'm curious, how noisy is your setup?
i'm considering picking that case for my water coolin projek.

thx,

Xo martel

Yeah I've seen LiquidCooled's setup. When I saw his setup I realized how nice that white light looks in an aluminum case. I haven't added any dye because I'm still not sure what kind of look I want to go for. I'm kind of tired of all that UV crap which I had at one time. Only thing I don't like about this setup is right now I only have space for 1 hard drive...lol. I'm going to get some vantec bay coolers so I can put my raptors in there along with my storage drive. As far as noise I'ts somewhat noisy because everything is completely exposed. I'll probably add some acoustic foam around the radiator to keep the noise from the rad fans down. Even with everything open I've heard louder closed. :)

Clean setup. Looks really nice.

What are you going to do with the fill port? I'd like to use a res but don't have room for one. I was thinking about using a fill port but I don't really want to cut another hole in the top of my case.

eyedol,

what generate the noise?
pump? 2x80 fans on radiator? or the rattles within the case?

Well the idea for the fill port was so i can refill it easier but I dont thnk the system is going to loose that much water to evaporation so i think it's just going to get in the way. Not to mention that it's gonna be a bitch to rip out the wc if i have to mess around with that fill pot all the time.

The noise is coming from the fans right now since they're right at my face. The pump is drowned out by the fans. The pump sounds like a semiloud hard drive.

Later on down the road I'm going to get a better setup on those fans, there's no shroud between then and the radiator but I think it's enough space to somewhat get rid of the dead zone of the fan. I'm just going to try to make the fans draw as much air through the radiator as possible.

eyedol,

I have a similar case (check sig), and I was thinking about using the micro sized radiator like yours, but I want to decrease the fan noise in my box so I was wondering if you suggest the radiator and if you have tried running the fans at lower voltage.

Do you think it would be better to go with a 120mm fan and rad and use swiftechs radbox to mount it on the back of the case, or is the duall 80mm enough for decent/quiet cooling.

Thanks.
