My specs are in my sig. So far I have a dissappointing 200mhz overclock to 3.0GHz on my Phenom II 720BE due to a CPU overvoltage error upon boot on 3.2GHz or greater. I am currently doing research on a solution (some have manually set cpu voltage at ~1.485 for a successfull run at 3.5GHz). Others have said either a powersupply or motherboard issue. I do not yet believe I have faulty hardware.
 
first off.. id say check to make sure you have the newest bios.. second are you overclocking with the FSB or multiplier.. for my pos 780g motherboard i have to change the voltage by changing the VID on the cpu instead of changing the cpu voltage the bios gives since its the stupid generic +.10 +.20 +.30..

1.485v even sounds a bit high for 3.5ghz.. since the phenom II 720 is essecially a phenom II 940 w/ the ddr3 IMC.. it should do 3.5ghz some where around 1.44-1.46v.. though i havent had a chance to use the board you have.. though i will be buying that board in the next couple days or so to use my phenom II 940 and actually be able to overclock it..
 
Updated bios to 902. Fixed the issue! Thank you sirmonkey1985. I am happy with a 3.2GHz overclock and other than the CPU multiplier, everything else on AUTO.
 
yeah with the phenom II 940 all you need to touch is the multiplier and voltage.. once you find the max cpu overclock you like you can always try to screw around and overclock the hypertransport(HT) to 2ghz.. basicly give you the same performance as the 955 thats coming out soon..
