Firewire devices in VMWare Player?

Does VMWare Player allow pass-through of Firewire devices? I have a DVD changer I would like to use, but it seems to only reliably work in Windows MCE. I've been trying to find out on Google, but haven't found any solid data.

I would try it myself, but I have to buy a new Firewire cable to hook it into my laptop. I'd rather just use VMWare instead of having to install MCE on a separate hard drive in my desktop or something like that.
