FireMV questions...

I am looking into parts for a new build for a friend of mine.

He is building a new pc for 3DS Max work, and I am stumped on the graphics card choices.

ATI 100-505111 FireMV 2200 128MB 64-bit DDR PCI Express x16 Low Profile Video Card - Retail

SAPPHIRE 100106L Radeon X850XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail

The biggest problem is that I don't know of any site that test 3DS to find out the difference in workstation vs desktop cards.

I believe you should be looking at FireGL boards not FireMV.

Ah, I see, FireMV is for 2D apps...

Forget it then, FireGL and Quadro cards are just too expensive for him right now.
