What makes them so much more expensive? I haven't been able to find specs comparing them to Radeons or the like . . .
 
they arnt made for gaming. built for professional use like CAD, encoding video, and doing renders. and big companies will pay for them to be in their computers just to render stuff faster.

Well the FireGL's aren't that great. I got a review sample at work one time. It was inferior to the Nvidia Quadro Series in everyway. The FireGL drivers were horrid. The second display would garble the output and all kinds of crap. I thought the card was bad. Got a second one and it was the same shit over agian.

To make a long story short FireGL's aren't worth the money.
