has anyone seen a preview or anything about it? AFAIK Quadro SLI enabled drivers are about to be released, so i wondered if I could use my fireGL X2 and upgrade via a second, master one - just like their gaming counterparts.
 
I don't fully understand what you're saying. Could you please re-explain in another way?

You mean, get your FireGL X1 (workstation 9800XT) swapped for a Radeon card?
 
sorry if i put this weired. my question was if/when there will be a fireGL version of ATIs crossfire. nvidias SLI is about to being released for their professional lineup as well, so when is ATI reacting? any news?

i'm asking as i'll get a new workstation, soon, and wondered if i could simply get a new master board useing my existing one a a slave card.
 
well doubt it, they might built one for X800 fire gl series only i guess. we will find out soon don't worry dude. :cool:
