Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I know FireGL cards are optimized for 3D modeling and such, but how would the latest FireGL V7350 compare to the x1900xtx in a game like oblivion or FEAR? And what's so different about the hardware that makes them charge $1000 more?
FireGL cards (like nVidia Quadros) are optimized for rendering quality, not speed. Their drivers are different than the stock Catalyst/Forceware and have special settings for apps like 3ds max or Maya. These differences (software and hardware) cause these "professional" cards to be slower in games. You can play games on them, but you'll get lower frame rates. If you're just gaming, it is NOT worth it to buy a FireGL or Quadro!
