Firefox spell check issues??

I recently got a new Macbook Pro at work and prefer to use Firefox. For some reason when I'm typing into a dialog box the default FF spell check will underline misspelled words, however if I right click (i.e. double finger tap), there are no suggestions for correcting the word although all other menu items appear.

Is there an option somewhere that I missed for this? Any help would be appreciated as all of our status reports need to be submitted via and online form and I'm a horrible speller.
 
Sometimes it can't find a match for what it thinks your typing. You can add custom words to the dictionary.
