FireFox question

i just installed Firefox and everytime i use it to go to any webpage it brings up my connection window asking to connect to the internet. i can cancel and continue but everytime it goes to another webpage the connection window comes up again. i am setup thru my router and always connected to the internet so i dont need to enter my username and pw and connect. IE doesnt do this so i am sure its just a setting somewhere. anyone know how to disable this?
 
Go to

Tools/Options

Then in the general tab Go to where it says "connection settings" and press the button. Make sure it has Directly Connected to the Internet checked.
 
well i found a couple of dial-up connections in my internet settings and removed them since i am connected through my router and all. this fixed the problem :)
