Not sure if this is the correct subforum, but I think it is. Anyways, I am new to using firefox, but so far it seems like a much better browser than IE. But, I have used IE for as long as I can remember, and I can't stop myself from using Ctrl + O to open up a new website, is there a way I can change this shortcut so that I can continue using Ctrl + O? Also, what extensions are absolute must haves?
 
AFAIK, Firefox doesn't have a URI box like IE's ctrl+O. Firefox's ctrl+o can accept URIs, but they will be download as a local file by explorer and then the local path will be sent to firefox, which isn't what you want. The OpenBox extension might do what you want. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1248/

You might want to try and get used to ctrl+t and typing in the address.
Opera does that the same way. ( Although Opera can do like IE if you hit F2 )

I just use ctrl+L, which works in both IE and Firefox. I don't know about key remapping though, you might want to look for an extension called keyconfig.

As for good extensions, I have many. My favorite one for general browsing are Optimoz Mouse Gestures. I also have the CSS editor extension, but that's more for studying the CSS of websites.
