Anyone know/made any progress in creating a Firefox browser for the Sprint HTC?

Right now all I see is the Minimo, which is crappy.

As far as I am aware, there is a Firefox browser yet. I know there developing one, but last I heard its not out yet.
 
I had not heard of it being released or any progress on it in a while actually.

Best alternative to IE is opera mini / mobile.
 
Opera 9.5 is the best browser available on Windows Mobile right now. Theres a mobile firefox in development right now and its supposed to blow Opera 9.5 outta the water...
 
Opera mini is still my fav. Its just so dang fast!. Loads stuff almost as fast as my desktop pc sometimes (on the jbed 3.1, was slower on the older one). Opera mobile runs much slower for me. Then again my phone is slow.
 
Firefox mobile is called fennic. I'm actually not anticipating its release because of the poor performance of the previously released mobile mozilla browser. There was deepfish beta by ms, but it has since disappeared from existence. I think they are perfecting it to work with silverlight. I'm a bigger fan of IE, because you can still install flash 7 and have it partially work in winmo...depending on how its embedded...most times you need to be able to get the detectflash=false to trick the flash into displaying since the version is too old.

There is some other beta browser that has flash built in. I looked at the site but it requires you to give them your mobile # and email...no thanks...
 
If Apple truly wanted to bitchslap Microsoft across it's Windows Mobile face, they'd put out Safari for Windows Mobile. :D

The screenshots linked above look Safari-ish, but that's pretty much the case these days. Everyone will be developing apps/games/stuff for Windows Mobile and it'll all have a distinct "iPhone look" to it. Most everything Resco and SPB are putting out nowadays already has that look...

The same line of people that continue to buy them to this day, of course. The same people that try selling off 1st gen iPhones on Craig's List and eBay "unlocked" for $600+... that sort of person. ;)
