Firefox + Embedded WMP Content

Hi,

I am currently running Windows Media Center 2005 and I am experiencing an issue with Firefox and Windows Media Player. Embedded WMP content only registers as a missing plug-in placeholder. After clicking to obtain the plug-in, it says cannot be found/unknown plug-in. Clicking on manual install directs me to the Windows Media Player download page.

However, upon trying to install WMP10 it tells me it cannot proceed due to the fact there is already a newer version installed (I am assuming because it's MCE version).

Does anyone know of an easy/safe method to get it to work? Results from Google have either been uninformative or talked about opening more security issues as a workaround.

that dates back to 2003 so you might want to throw a few more queries at it if neither work

Awesome, thanks guys. Tried Czar's suggested method first because I was concerned Shameless' method might have changed some things MCE required.
