I had to disable the "search as you type" function in firefox just to make this post. If I put my cursor in any text field like Google search or just to make a post on a forum, the auto search thing starts coming up and thinks I'm trying to search a string of text on the page, as it does the "bleep" sound cause of no matches

It happens from time to time but is really annoying, anyone dealt with this yet? Solutions? Thanks.

I'm not sure I quite understand what is happening, but I'll make a guess. Could your control key be sticking and whenever you hit the F key it pops you into the find box (Ctrl+F) and starts searching for what you type after that?

No... it starts searching if you push any key within alpha numerical values.

Example... if I tried to just type the line above, it would literally start out with a search at the bottom "No..."

I leave "Begin finding when you begin typing" unchecked.
No problems for me.

Yes, but I leave mine checked, and for the most part it works as it should, and I can still type in field txt fields and it stays quiet, except for a few occasions, such as one recently.
