I recently got rid of Azureus and thought I would give Utorrent a try because of how light it is. However, when I try to download something from a torrent site and FF tries to DL it, an error comes up saying "could not be opened because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences."

I tried changing a setting in FF and Utorrent and still no luck. Any help is appreciated.

If you on vista, right click both utorrent and firefox and select run as administrator, once loaded then make utorrent the default app for .torrent files :D

Alright so I go to the set program accesses/ defaults tab and there isn't anywhere to set the default app. When I first set up utorrent I made it the default program for opening torrents so I'm beginning to think it's something with FF.

Or... you could just click the "associate with .torrent files" in the uTorrent options dialog.
