FireFox 2.0 & Site Login's

I'll probably slap myself after someone tells me the solution, but...

I have a corporate FTP site I log into. In IE, I have to go to the site, then use the File/Login As... option to specify my credentials.

I cannot figure out how to do this in FireFox 2.0.

There is no obvious way to provide the login info. In IE, you choose File/Login as.

Firefox does not have this option.

I have figured it out, however. You have to embed the login/password into the beginning of the url.

It's a pain in the ass, but it works.

The format is login:p[email protected]

Dammit, the BBS keeps changing things on me LOL

login : password @ site . com

Remove all the spaces.

Just FYI:
The Rules said:
(25) You are allowed one signature per post. A signature section is supplied for that usage. No one wants to see your name on your posts multiple times as it is annoying.
