Played this all weekend. Had a good time.

Most of my time was spent as a medic and my one major complaint is that, other than healthpacks, you are unable to heal yourself. I have the heal wave with damage knockback and the healing aoe ball but that is pretty damn hard to use in battle with everyone running and flying all over. For their pretty low DPS they need to have a self heal other than the tiny health steal in the gun. I know there is the one mine heal thing I saw someone use yesterday but I guess I don't have that yet

I also played some time as an assault and that guy wrecks face pretty hard. His primary gun does well. At least compared to the medics guns lol.

Recon is alright. The gun is nice and the mine is cool but it just seems sort of useless compared to the assault. The added run speed is very little incentive when the assault can just use its primary like artillery from 300 meters away. Seems like they need something else to incentivize someone to play them over the assault.

Game stuff wise:
The wings seem really really broken. I dont know how many deaths I can attribute to flying backwards straight down and then my booster not working ever when coming out of wings.
FUCK SOME WATER DEATH!!!!! Whats the point of that? Seriously. WTF.
The lag in doing pretty much everything associated with any menu ever at all ever is annoying.
The upgrade system is great but I dont see why I need to make a suit change in the suit change machine and the go change suits at a different machine just to change it back so I can see the change. Why can't I just equip changes to the suit IN the suit change machine?
Why is there a merchant in the starting town that sells grenades for 50 crystals when you can make 25 grenades for 100 crystals in 20 seconds?
What am I supposed to do with all these other crystals that I pick up? I have thousands and thousands of other crystals that ATM seem to do absolutely nothing.
Why when you're clearing a tower do 50 Chosen just appear in the top room every 2 minutes?

General questing bugs. I don't need the mining tutorial again. I only learned how to plop it down and every time I use it all i get is dirt anyway, so I'm sure I'm doing something the tutorial didn't tell me anyway so leave me the hell alone about it. I've done it already.
I already completed the drug addict guys quest please stop telling me to go get his motorcycle. There's a quest in the sunken ruins that has dialog in the pirate area but there isn't anything over there.
The bounty locations are empty...
The carry the radio missions are H.A.R.D. Every BIG monster in the woods is coming for you in about 5 seconds. You'd better run, then fly to this ridiculous peak and then stand in one place until the timer expires so you can move on oh wait now you're dead

Overall I really really enjoyed it. I will play it when it comes out. I just hope that they add more quest direction/hand holding. Not because I want easy mode or anything but I just ended up aimlessly going from one drop ship to the next killing everything in your way because there are so few missions to do. But maybe I'm just not seeing where to get them. If not its just going to be like rift except with less quests.
 
it is in beta and there willl be alot more questing content,bug fixes, ect ect as time progresses,

not sure what you mean aboutt he gliders being broken, you gotta keep a slightly downward flight path when using them (like a glider)

chosen will appear in a tower when they have control of it. once you take back control they stop spawning.

Water death they attribute to the battleframes not being water proof, so water over your chest kills
the merchants are just basicly place holders at this point, again its beta and theyre working on things.

The stuff you mine and pick up is used in the nanoprint machine to build upgraded weapons and such once you get into your Tier 2 frame. You can also use them to build other thumpers med supplies, ammo, ect
 
Yeah I get that its Beta. Just some observations. Overall I loved it. I just hope some of these things dont discourage a user base that will keep it alive
 
Looks like it has some promise to me. Not my kind of game but feels like as if they mixed wow and planteside together.
 
yeah its a fun game, if you check out the forums over there they answer alot of question and suggestions and whatnot.

if you need a key to keep playin let me now, i got a few i need to give out.

And from what I'm reading of the crafting is that its somewhat SWG like? I guess my experience with it is super limited because I hadnt gotten into a t2 frame yet

its just earth right now but its by no means finished right now, itll open up ALOT once the melding starts getting pushed back more and more

yeah T2 is where everything really starts to pop, but there goin to be redoing the battleframe system sometime soon so the tier thing wont be an issue anymore but not sure when thatll happen

this thing has been in beta for like 3 years heh. or atleast it seems that way.


the beta wasnt that great when i played it. like i said though that was a long time ago
 
Lot has changed since the beta first launched.
Still missing alot of stuff, missions, ect but still fun to play
 
So I finally crafted my first t2 part. Used a blue rated ferrite and the stats on paper of the jump jet were much improved. But once I equipped it there didnt seem to be any noticeable difference. But oh well. Its a cool concept. And I like the idea of blending different isotopes to make new ones to then make better gear. Very cool. I'm a little confused on the crafting of t2 guns. I have the SMG unlocked in T2 but I dont have a blueprint for it. The one for the jump jet just appeared once I purchased it on the tree, but the SMG is nowhere to be found at the nanoprint station
 
ive noticed that before when crafting something that didnt at first seem like it did much then after a bit switch back to stock and then i could tell there was a difference lol. yeah some secondary weapons theres no blue prints for, They plan on sometime here in the near future to totally redo the crafting system its goin to be way more tweekable and alot more crafting option per item
 
Well overall I really like the crafting system. Its easy enough to get a hold on the concept. I never played SWG so I don't know how similar it is but its neat.
 
Made more tech 2 stuff. Really liking the game. I just crafted some of the booster cores to open up that area around north shores. So maybe tonight I'll go in there and harvest. Made an improved group thumper last night too, so should be fun
