I thought I'd seen it all, and then this hit me --
I got a couple of the newish 800Mhz FSB Xeon's (3.2's) for a server I'm putting together. The retail boxed heatsink has screws which are course thread, and a larger diameter from a normal course thread screw. The case I have for this has built-in standoffs for the Xeon heatsink, but they're fine threaded, like the old 533/400Mhz FSB Xeon retail HSF. I want to get some fine thread screws to put in place of the big course ones in the new HSF. The fine thread I need is the same size as used in optical and floppy drives, but I need them to be about 7/8" long (or longer and I can cut them down). What size screw and what thread count/pitch/whatever do I need to look for?
