finding a case

I am having trouble finding a case for my dual xeon on an intel se750br2 board. I have tried looking through new egg and frys but i cant find one long enough. The motherboard seems like it will fit in a normal case as in height but the length and the eight screws for the heatsinks are the killer. if anybody can point me in the right direction without spending more than $150 i would appreciate it.. Thanks

Great case for Eatx boards, very roomy great to work in. I have one myself.
 
CM Stacker is bad for heavy systems in general. It does tend to flex and warp more easily. (Don't ask me why - it just does. Sorry.) Sadly, a lot of the LiLis are CRAP for cooling. How they screwed it up, I dunno, I don't care. Can't sell half of 'em because - surprise - they overheat. The PC73SLB's a damn fine choice though, as is the "Zebra" two-tone. (Can't remember the model#.)

As stated; I like the LiLi PC73SLB, and the LiLi Zebra two-tone. The V2x00's, steer clear. Cooling problems. (Why do you think they're on the B+ with additional fans?) The CM Stacker isn't bad if you're not going to be heavily loading it, but if you're gonna put a lot of gear in it? Definitely don't recommend it.
Other than those? Y-Y's got some good stuff, Chenbro SR207 or 209 (can't remember which; the one with the seperating plate between PSU and mo'board.) That's about it right now; the others are too hard to work on, have no room, have poor build quality, or just have general problems.

i can't find the PC73SLB for sale anywhere
 
If you're going with server-class hardware, why skimp on the case and PSU? Get something big and beefy! My Supermicro SC942i is a beaut, as are the majority of the Supermicro cases I've seen. They'd be my recommendation. Newegg frequently has their 4Us on sale.
 
I'd recommend the Chieftec Dragon Full Tower. It will acommodate e-atx boards, is built very solidly, very easy to work inside of, and is fairly attractive, nice and simple, not flashy.

I've used one for years and am planning on getting another for my next build. You can find them around your price range as well.

You're fucking joking, right?
Those are the worst designed EATX cases out there by miles. Their 5.25" bays are WAY too high for modern boards. There's NOT enough room for EATX boards despite the mounts being present - the 3.5" bays do block access to the board when installed. And a single 120mm or 2x80mm in a BAD layout with no intake? Just ASKING for trouble.
I threw out every last one, which probably was a bad idea; could have stolen the trays from them. That's about all they're good for. Pure shit.

Only catch is that you will have to replace the fans. Part of why I like it is that it can actually be a solid performer with light work; putting 120x38 Panaflos up front and in back, and popping in a squirrel cage give it very impressive numbers.

I've only used one with an ATX board, didn't know they were so unsuitable for E-ATX.
